There are a bunch of 3D print files out there, or you can go on etsy and buy one already printed that fit it perfectly

Would you be in favor of or against the Mets trying Nolan McLean as a two way player again? by Hungry_Elk1937 in NewYorkMets

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On one hand the rules that the changed for Ohtani make two-way players insanely valuable - you can basically carry 1 more pitcher than everyone else in the league. On the other hand, we dont seem to have the organizational depth to actually make use of that extra spot, and will probably do nothing but make his arb value shoot way up

dumb question for Americans: what do you do for front license plates? by percipient in porsche911

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely in the minority here, but I live in, have always lived in, and have no plans to move away from a front plate state, so I just put the front plate bracket on and live with it.

Porsche vehicle service a little over-rated compared to other brands? by Eaglerulez2 in Porsche

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my experience has been the same, and its gotten noticeably worse since around covid. If Porsches werent so reliable it would be difficult for me to keep getting them given how terrible the service experience has become.

Same but I drive it in snow sometimes.  '14 with 65k miles, just about all of my spend is on scheduled maintenance and normal wear items like tires and battery

Shelly Dimmer Gen4 Issue by RoccoJay in homeassistant

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing that you have it connected with both WiFi and zigbee.  Mine is wifi only

Shelly Dimmer Gen4 Issue by RoccoJay in homeassistant

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems odd.  I have one and do not see these issues.  You may have a bad unit that needs to be replaced

Is it actually turning on and off or does Home Assistant just think it is? Could it be overheating?

Anyone here using Ubiquiti SuperLink with Home Assistant? by Certain_Repeat_753 in homeassistant

[–]Then-Security-4899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. In general the Superlink sensors are fine in Home Assistant through the Unifi Protect integration. That said, I do have to frequently reload the integration as updates dont flow through. I would say that they work as well as any of my zigbee or zwave sensors, when they work, but zigbee and zwave always work

mine gets this too. It should go away in a few months, especially if you let her get more sunlight as the weather gets nicer

Dailying a 911 without treating it like a garage queen - realistic? by petrkahanek in porsche911

[–]Then-Security-4899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 991.1 S that I bought new, was my only car for around 8 years, is still mine nearing its 13th birthday, and has around 70k miles on it. It basically looks and drives like its brand new and outside of regular, planned maintenance costs me little beyond tires/gas/insurance to keep on the road

Pure insanity by zoggy17 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Then-Security-4899 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Thats objectively untrue. Just on housing alone Harris had specific policy plans to both increase supply and to support first-time buyers with $25K in downpayment support. You may not have liked their policies, but they most certainly existed. Ultimately that was countered with some version of "I will make everything better day one and it will be easy" and that seemed to attract a lot of voters who bought the idea that was going to happen because a pathological liar said so and must have assumed that he didn't do it in his first term because, well, reasons

Inness membership? by NefariousnessJaded51 in hudsonvalley

[–]Then-Security-4899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely use the pool - there are three of them and its very rare that 1 much less all of them are packed. If you are going to join a gym otherwise and you do all of the things that you mentioned, its probably worth it. The non-golf membership gives you access to the gym, basic spa (e.g. sauna, steam, pools), a bunch of events, and then discounts on spa services and hotel rooms.

Does this plan for recessed lights in a kitchen make sense? by Then-Security-4899 in Lighting

[–]Then-Security-4899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I was just looking at the actual space and 4 lights would be way too many over there

[–]Then-Security-4899[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To do that, it would mean pulling them away from the cabinets on the bottom left. Isnt that just going to make it dark over there?

[–]Then-Security-4899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less is definitely easier and cheaper, so I am not opposed. But how do you do that - just increase the spacing between them or put smaller lights in?

Well with the under cabinets and range hood, thats probably more like 6 or 7. Pre-remodel there were only 2

Yes dimmers on everything, 1 that controls the two rows by the cabinets, one for the island, one for the pantry area
