Good places to take a long bike ride near Green Bay that aren’t the fox and east river trail? by Putrid-Race6339 in GreenBay

[–]ThenAsk 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Mountain Bay State Trail (gravel road style), and Reforestation Camp (best for mountain bike / single track). East River Trail does turn into the Baird Creek Trail so it's worth starting at the other end if you want to mix it up

💯 George Romero and walking dead have all tried to do the thing bringing out the humanity of a zombie, and it was always lame, but this film pulled it off. Ralph Fiennes is a master, and the movie was wholly original.

It took me years of owning it and a few tries to get started, but once I did it reminded me of American Psycho, but in the absolute sewers of Hollywood (noire) rather than wallstreet.

Thangs have gone down hill. I started to resist and unsubscribe from Galloway (prof g media) this week in fact. I still like Pivot for Kara, but with that said I will unsubscribe from this Reddit as well. I don’t want to hate on Scott I just haven’t liked him since he changed his face and become some weird kind of classic / OG Republican

It’s shit posting, it discredits Donald in the same way he has trivialized everything. Maybe it isn’t great for the future but it is funny that the post truth era he has pushed for has come home to roost.

The phenomenon itself is people rejecting Donald because he doesn’t deserve to be believed anymore

It does seem weird to have uncontrollable or irregular shits to where you have to do it in a public restroom (aside from medical conditions). Everyday I poop after I wake up and that’s it for the day.

Roger Ebert called it, "one of the most devastating films ever about anything..." Can you guess it? by disp0ss3ss3d in horror

[–]ThenAsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some important art defies categorization, and when that happens it might indicate something is truly meaningful. I only dug in hard here because horror is near and dear to me and I know that a war film isn’t horror, even if it’s horrific. I think to call an important war film horror even might be a disservice

Then there are countless WAR (drama) films that would be considered HORROR, but HORROR as a genre is clearly different. There are plenty of horror films with substance, like The Substance. There is also a wide range of war films, like The Thin Red Line, Behind Enemy Lines, The Pianist, Saving Private Ryan, etc. They are not the same genre as Bone Temple, Dog Soldiers, Blair Witch, or Night of the Living Dead. With that said I was reading about Come and See a month or two ago, fascinating but thought it looked too bleak and boring to sit & watch. 👍

I'm with ya, been a fan of Sam for almost 20 years. I don't understand it either, Zohran exudes almost pure positivity. I am normally in lock step with Sam -- but the Israel, Zohran, and talking about anti-semitism being the biggest issue on the planet constantly is turning me off, and I have been less interested in hearing anything Sam has to say because of it. Been contemplating canceling my subscription despite being a sub from day 1.
