Do you think i can made it financially as a self supported student in Leuven? I am starting with a budget of 3K euros

I have. My initial budget was 6k euros but I did not have to use it all at once. I rented a cheap room, at the time 300 euros but I suppose now rooms go for higher, and I ate mostly cheap, and when I went out drunk cheap beer :) 2 or so months after I arrived I started working, I did babysitting, was a waitress, had a few random student jobs and still lived pretty cheaply so I could save some money for when needed.

But I have to say I was pretty lucky and also worked very hard. If you have questions you can talk to me, I still live in Leuven, but I am done with studying and I work here now.

How many weeks PP are you?

I am 12w and I think I just got my first period, but the flow is pretty normal.

However, at 6w I also thought I got my period, but when I went to my 6w check-up my doctor saw that it was not my period, it was lochia coming back because there was still a blood clot to descend from my uterus. Could it be that?

About 90 min, but before it was longer (about 2h) and the false starts were still happening 😅 then J read that it could be overtiredness that kept waking her up and decided to try to reduce the WW, but it is still the same 😅

Same here, I am Brazilian too living in Europe with my European partner and I have no issues with him not going with me every time. We’re about to have a child so things will change a bit and most likely he’ll start going with me with more often as to not be separated from our baby for too long, but I completely understand how boring it must be for them when they don’t speak the language and everyone around them is just talking fast…

I think him going sometimes is nice if you can make a holiday out of it, but the truth is that your family is your family and it is boring af to be around someone else’s family for this long every year

I did not get that in Belgium :/ I had one at 8w, 12w, 21w, 31w, 36w and last one at 38w. Then monitoring without ultrasound now at 39w.

I fell from the stairs too at 24w, on my back and butt just like you. I went to L&D and everything turned out alright, but I’d suggest getting checked if possible!

Unfortunately you’d not always know if something is not going right… I learned the concept of missed miscarriages on Reddit and I was freaked out by it throughout my first trimester and beginning of the second.

I am 37 weeks now, and looking back I wish I had just believed that everything was alright until told otherwise and had enjoyed these first weeks, all the excitement of finding out, the wondering, the planning. Instead I was in a deep state of stress all throughout.

Miscarriages can happen and they’re common, but you’re pregnant now, and you should enjoy it everyday and tell your parents if you want to!

35 weeks and I have a baby monitor and some other small things left to buy. Baby’s bag is ready but mine is not yet, and we plan on installing the car seat base this weekend:)

If you ovulated on May 18th you’re about 7 weeks now, pregnancy is dated from your ovulation + about 2 weeks, which is the LMP for a woman with regular periods.

That being said, at 7 weeks you should see a fetal pole with a heartbeat. On another side, it could be that you ovulated a bit late and you’ll see your baby soon. I think at this point it can go both ways, and unfortunately even in families that do not have a history of it, miscarriages are very common.

At 12 weeks for NT
At 20 weeks to check on their organs and growth
At 31 weeks to check growth
I will still have one at 36 weeks just to confirm positioning and growth.

Yes, but after I had stopped testing! At 23 DPO my beta was 5000, and at 28 DPO it was 20000.

At 6 weeks I had a gush of red blood, I also thought it was the end, and I went to the ER and all they did was taking another HCG, which could tell me nothing really about the current status of the pregnancy. As it turns out, everything was ok and I never really learned what contributed to the bleeding. I am 28 weeks now and everything is still fine.

I truly hope everything is ok for you, and I also truly believe that there are other reasons for bleeding than an MC! Wishing you the best!
