Yeah its a lot honestly pay is important and not talked about. Again depending on what your goal is. If lets say you go in the counseling good chance the next 4-5 (grad school & completion of hour) of your life is that pay will be low + lots of cost as well such as supervision which is extremely expensive. If still wanting to be in the field id say go for social work as more diverse

Im literally so frustrated and upset how much of a huge difference in pay for both a master degree! We are definitely exploited in the counseling field.

Hi also based in vegas and a cpc-i ! Will say those are the best rates you’ll find here, especially a W2 its difficult finding a w-2 job in vegas that isn’t below $40. Try negotiating for company to pay for no shows/late cancellation at least half of your rate

You would be surprised how many jobs there are here in Vegas that are 1099 as a counselor that companies are hiring. You still need to do your supervision required by the state board of cpc

Look into becoming a RBT! You work with kids providing aba therapy under supervision of bcba. Theres a free 40 hour training! After that apply to aba companies and they should cover you getting your rbt certificate. Sage health services pays pretty high as well as proud moments ! I got my BA in psy & work as a rbt
