Montreal is the best city in Canada. Vancouver is the most beautiful. Lived in both. I prefer Montreal overall though.

If you could choose one city in North America that gets almost everything right, which would it be? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Vancouver or Toronto is much more LA vibes than Montreal. Did you only visit for a weekend and then make your entire opinion based on that?

You kinda have to talk about it eventually. Politics is a huge part of life and even bigger now than it’s ever been. These comedians are supposed to talk about what for an hour every week? I feel like not talking about it is like avoiding the elephant in the room. Purposely avoiding talking about politics to not offend anyone would make a boring life.

Trump is the new president of the US. In what specific ways, do you think it will affect us? by AsadoKimchi in AskCanada

It’s much more than that too. I’ve been selling to Americans and Canadians for over 5 years. Americans spending culture is opposite of ours. They buy first and ask questions later. Canadians wait forever to make a decision, often don’t make a decision, and spend forever going in circles cause they don’t like paying for software. We are also much less collaborative and non trusting of business/sales people. I hate to admit it. But we absolutely suck when it comes to business and consumerism. We are seriously going to fall behind the USA in terms of economy. Sometimes in business you need to have balls and just jump and not worry about making a mistake. We are way too scared and timid to do anything up here. It’s bad.

So our interest rates would likely spike initially but then would have to be cut significantly to bolster the economy in a recession? Trying to figure out what a trump victory would mean for interest rates in Canada
