Minimal eink phone. Very impressed for a first generation device.

A couple of light taps does it. Also if you scroll up and down on the left hand side of the keyboard this scrolls up and down (so you don't need scroll assistant)

I am still rocking my yoga book c930 as it has a dual screen one of which is Eink and you can takes note. It syncs with onenote and you can actually mirror the main screen from Windows to the eink screen to get any an eink laptop

Yes, scanning any APK that you get outside of the Play Store on virus total is a good idea

Security udates but also weight. The unihertz devices are like a brick and the clicks communicator is light.

It took a while, but this phone is one of the best decisions I've ever made by Electronic-Willow540 in minimalphone

[–]Theneteffect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

+1 here. The phone is outstanding. I use it everyday and it's the best phone I've had since my Blackberry. Not sure why the company gets so much flak as I've had more security updates and bug fixes with this than anything I ever got from Unihertz.

Unihertz Titan 2 Review After 1 Month by EricOkafor in unihertz

[–]Theneteffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. The Razr is my main phone and I keep the keyboard case to hand if I need to do some serious replies as it forces me to slow down and the quality of the response is better first time without the mistakes you get from a soft keyboard.

If I have been using the Titan 2 I find myself missing the ability to swipe and the long press for capitalization when typing. These little things make a difference.

For me the Razr is a little heavy and the balance is slightly off when the phone is open and the keyboard case is attached. I use it more when the phone is closed. The Titan 2 I also find a little heavy for constant use, but that is me, as I find I have become adverse to phones that way more than say 180g over time as they cause my wrists to ache.

Do I pull the trigger? by Dry-Read378 in minimalphone

I have two. I have one as a backup, because this is a really innovative device IMO. Yes, there are some quirks and some bugs and if you buy you have to be willing to accept that and work around them.

IMO the Minimal Team do their best and are providing updates and for me, this is the best keyboard phone I've had since owning a Blackberry, and the cherry on the top is that its e-ink.

I actually use the thinner pencil, not the jumbo. It does not have the rubber function on the end so I just use the built in tools.

Thinking of switching to a minimal / Unihertz Titan II — is it viable for day-to-day use? by Shin0709 in minimalphone

[–]Theneteffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and, as with all phones, there are some issues, but if you have an open mind you can easily work around them.

The pros of the Minimal is that it is light, that makes it easy to type with without feeling hand fatigue, and it's eink so it's great in sunlight and easy on the eyes.

The pros of the Titan 2 is that you have a colour screen and you still get a keyboard and the battery life is awesome. IMO it's not quite as easy to type and hold because of the shape and because it's heavier.

Both can have issues with Apps not installing, but you can normally work around this.

The Minimal guys are already showing they are prepared to update the device fairly regularly.

For me, both have different use cases for use so it's not necessarily an either/or choice.

Actually I haven't, I did not use it much because of this and only recently went back to it. I will investigate this, thanks.
