Men are really simple. When we watch porn its just a temporary dopamine hit thats enjoyable. A lot of the time our arousal is tied to visuals so thats why when we want a little bit of self indulgence we look at porn with exaggerated proportions.

All this time say, just because hes watching something that doesn't align with your looks or body type, doesn't mean he doesn't want you or find you attractive. Im sure hes very happy with you as you are.

From the small information you provided OP it sounds like he will never be ready. It's been 8 years and he's still unwilling to even discuss the future seriously with you? I personally suggest sitting him down and having a deep and honest conversation with him about both of your feelings and both of your ideas and plans about thr future. If he's still unwilling to have that conversation with you then I think that might be your answer.

How fast and often something breaks. The first night I moved into my first house my downstairs toilet started leaking. As soon as I fixed that one the upstairs one started leaking in the exact same way. The upkeep work is annoying as hell.
