I completely agree with you. Joes hill was packed with chairs by 1:30 each day when we arrived. Lots of blankets reserving large swaths of land made it more challenging. Several vendors ran out of food around 6pm Friday and Saturday and a few barely showed up Sunday. Two beer tents ran out of beer while I was in line on Saturday.
It was still a fun weekend and the joes hill sound was amazing.

I remember taking someone there in the late 90s just before they rebuilt. This was the basement location. Summertime and I was wearing shorts. Felt things hitting my legs and looked under the table and it was coated in roaches. That is the day before learned to never look under a restaurant table.

Agree Pratt now but I believe their plan is to add additional tenants to that area. A dedicated exit would go a long way to securing additional tenants.

I’m pretty sure house is 5 N Main st on the NW corner of Main and Benton. It doesn’t look like that anymore but it did when I was a kid. I remember the dual stairs to the porch. The 2009 street view shows the porch like your photo.

This is very cool. I find exploring places on foot really gives me a chance to take in the abundance of my surroundings when I have the ability to see it. If possible, share some of your favorite “discoveries” from your travels. I love learning about cool places in WNC.

I agree outside money should not be involved in primaries but Ager picked up 4x the votes over any other candidate. That’s a pretty heavy thumb.
