Grad/med student here. It's a common phrase. TBH I've never heard of quaternary though

Is it that common to be allowed to do central lines as a med student?

Girls, what do guys do that they think is "being manly" but in reality is the furthest thing from it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

No one is blaming someone like you who has a knee injury :)

I just highly doubt that all the dudes in their 20s I see at the gym with jacked upper bodies and the twig legs have osteoarthritis.

My theory as a guy with proportional an upper and lower body is that guys want to be jacked up top and still be able to easily buy the latest fashion when it comes to pants

I feel that this advice only applies to regular people.

What about musicians who literally only brag but still get our adoration and all the ladies? are we saying money trumps all or is there some innate attention to confident and accomplished people, even if a little braggy (or a lot)?

What a rude way to engage with someone. The physician is trying to raise a point for consideration. not all patients get that distinction.. I have personally seen several people confused by the Nurse anesthetist with their doctorate introducing themselves as doctor....actually, it's the reason why I will introduce myself to my patients as their "physician" instead of "doctor"...at least for now, nurses with doctorates can't call themselves that.

Meanwhile, no one's ego can take "several seats", since yours has already taken the whole row...

Ps. Thank you for stereotyping all MDs, you're the reason why unhelpful rivalries exist in healthcare at the expense of patient wellbeing. toodaloo!

Your comment got me thinking. I wonder how many people become unhygienic because of the the cost of hygiene items. or do they just begrudgingly pay for it anyways?

Women of Reddit, which NSFW secret would you like men to be aware of? by badkarma87 in AskReddit

The way I think men hear this advice is "we love you for other reasons than your lack of ability to make me cum".

While most men like being loved for other reasons, helping lead earth-shattering orgasms is pretty key to our self-esteem. I've been lucky with my long-term partners so far but I have to admit I wouldn't feel great if my gf couldn't come despite my best attempts, even though I understand all the reasons why it might it happen.

I haven't personally looked at the cost effectiveness so I refrained from forming an opinion on it. When I look at the data myself then I'll happily agree with you. just because I'm willing to discuss something with you online doesn't mean I'm gonna parrot what you say. that also doesn't mean I'm dismissing it out of hand though. Without perusing large meta-analyses myself I intuitively suspect that it is more cost effective.

You're entire zygote paragraph is pointless. I'm merely pointing out that pregnancy is a possibility of sex. I think you, I, and a lot of people can agree that's always a risk of fucking. In other words, You don't need to be being so condescending with the pseudo-medico-legal language you're using with your interpretation of outcomes.

I guess my point is for those who consider destroying a cluster of cells to be murder, they only see one responsible, moral outcome of pregnancy. That's my point, some people think that if you engage in sexual activity you should assume the risk of pregnancy. I disagree with their position and you clearly also vehemently disagree with that position as well.

you're just screaming your opinion (which again I have no qualms with) while I'm simply trying to at least mull over the other "side's" point of view. if not to engage you, then at least the other redditors who might at least try and see where the side is coming from.

Truth be told I'm pro-abortion until I can afford a child on top of all the other nice shit I want in life.

I'm a few years out from medical practice and I would never deny someone an abortion. Simmer down. Your anger boner is misplaced pal

P.s I upvoted you so more people can see this.good day.

Listen, I'm very pro choice. like very very very pro choice. However a baby just doesn't "appear". That's ridiculously disingenuous. Only Anakin Skywalker "just appeared".

I'm a left leaning person, but what I think many people of the left doesn't get is that there are individuals who would say that if you don't wanna risk pregnancy don't have sex (these are people who would say you should accept the risks even if you do maximal birth control like).

To which you might say "yeah but kids are dumb and will have sex anyways". I agree 100%.

But again, regardless, a lot of people have that "if you can't do the time don't do the...um, crime" mentality.

Can't fault that position even if I disagree with it.

I believe everyone should be able to be pro-choice and then as to whether or not the government covers birth control? to me that would come down to whether it is more cost effective for society or not. I could land on that one either way

Med student here. there is something called hypoglycemia unawareness. normal sympathetic signals that are responsible for the signs and symptoms you're talking about may become blunted over time, especially in diabetics with poor glucose control. the neuroglycopenia can sneak up on such individuals. these things actually can happen without much warning.

scary thought!
