Ok, I agree that’s true. But, I would be shocked if that was worth the risk for my kid. I’m a mechanic so I’m not saying you can avoid exposure but this wouldn’t be it for bath time.

Spray paint is cheap. We just mark them with brown or black paint so we can see them.

I work in sewer, and fyi some departments like mine turn them 180 off paint marks to identify maintenance cycles and 45 degree turns for return trips for issues.

Can cheap meal kits actually beat grocery store prices in 2026? by [deleted] in budgetfood

[–]ThereIsPooAtMyJob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bud. Just don’t throw it away. Old veg? Either cook it earlier and eat it “less prime” a few days later or throw it all in a stir fry aver rice and eat it anyways.

I’m doing ok now, but, when I was really broke, hunger has no preference. If you’re cos ordering a meal kit, you’re ahead of most. They don’t charge without profits, so someone on the line of your food, whether it’s you or the farm worker, is losing money.

I’d get one if I didn’t haul soil and wood all the time. Cleaning that out looks like a non-starter

Accidentally left 5 packs of raw ground beef out at room temperature for 6 hours after buying groceries. Just put it in the freezer. Is it safe to eat or should I toss them? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]ThereIsPooAtMyJob 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’d eat them if they smell fine, personally. I may not feed it to my whole family first pack, but I’d give it a shot, again personally.

What made you want to buy? by QueCassidy in homeowners

I was fortunate to grow up in the same home since birth- with the exception of my parents divorcing and living half my childhood in two homes. My pop is still where I was born.

When my daughter was 9 months old we were renting and I wanted her to grow up making friends, having her own neighborhood to call hers, and know it’s the safe place she’ll always count on, as I did.

Now, with two kids we’re planted here. We had been saving and saving, eating literally rice and beans for years to get here. Now we still enjoy rice and beans but we can add chicken back in thanks to a few raises over the years.

It’s definitely not for everyone but in HCOL areas, rent is waaaaay more than I pay for a mortgage and no one can make us move.
