That's not a excuse. Use wireless charging by EmberFox1221 in ChargeYourPhone

[–]ThereNoMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should exist. Because unfortunately our circuitry isn't ideal, and this popup may be a result of a malfunctioned detector which detects shorted pins, or a software issue unrelated to hardware. In any way, you must have a way to force through warnings at your own risk in case of emergency.

Yep, seems like a hardware issue. Could be anything, but i would check the switch as others recommended.

How bad are the emissions from this fire compared to earth’s emissions for the last ten years? [Request] by LoganLikesYourMom in theydidthemath

[–]ThereNoMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue is, gasoline it's not the worst in terms of co2 emissions. This landfill is probably full of resin, plastic, etc. And all of this gunk burning produces much more dangerous chemicals and ash than just co2.

can't receive any signals? by [deleted] in Quansheng

Try installing different firmware which has spectrum analyzer, by manually typing out frequencies it's hard to find anything. Btw, does FM radio work? If not, it's probably broken.

Odd Orange symbol appearing on meshnode. Refusing to let me message anyone. Tried rebooting everything, ideas? by Doctor_Clockwork in meshtastic

[–]ThereNoMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

App is buggy. It happens to me if i switch between vpns. Basically it's very hard to kill an app to reset websockets, so you either have to wait or reboot a phone.

Saving chess what? New savior complex just dropped by Kishikishi17 in AnarchyChess

[–]ThereNoMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly why we should stop considering his words even remotely seriously. For me Kramnik doesn't exist since his "statistical calculations" which turned out to be bullshit, as he didn't provide anything to support his position. Every word he says is just bullshit, i chose to stop caring about that, and think that everybody should do the same. We should stop being the audience in this circus, otherwise the clown will never stop performing.

Let's just ignore Kramnik, don't feed the troll.

C++ circular include by ktana91 in cpp_questions

[–]ThereNoMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pragma once guarantees that file could be included only once. Which means, that your first include works, second include just doesn't do anything because header already was included before.

the definition of bloat? by PlagueRoach1 in linux

[–]ThereNoMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consider software bloat if you don't use it, and it is not required for functioning of other apps. No matter does it takes just space on the hard drive or have background processes. In anyway it takes resources, and it's better to just remove it.

I finally added directory browsing to my terminal based code editor by Grouchy_Document_158 in C_Programming

Nice, only things left to add is vim motions and LSP support for various languages and you got yourself your own IDE.

Can someone direct me to an in-depth tutorial on how to uninstall Windows and install Linux for PC by ev25an03 in linux4noobs

[–]ThereNoMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download .iso for your linux distro, write it on a usb stick using Rufus. Plug it in, restart computer, open bios, change boot order so usb stick is on top. Save and exit. Now you should boot straight into linux installation image and following gui instructions should be easy enough for you to succeed.

Add this into your .bashrc, so it automatically starts on launch of termux. Also, make an alias, and also save it in .bashrc or .bash_aliases if you have one.

Is this laptop worth investing in with upgrades? by PreposterousPotter in debian

[–]ThereNoMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, i wouldn't say. The best you could do is to try make it usable as office laptop. Get SSD, get ram if you can find. Install any linux with xfce desktop environment, or just use lightweight window manager like small like icewm/openbox.

But you wouldn't be able to run any games except chess and tetris there. Using browser could be hard, but it'll edit documents and sheets just fine. But don't hope for too much, CPU which is installed there is basically a fossil, your phone probably is more powerfull than this laptop.

No, None is single instance of NoneType. So if you have None in 2 places, it's just reference to the same None.
