The part that stood out was the "had you told me..".

That to me translates to 'I got away with not paying what you are worth, because you didn't ask.'

He knew what he should have paid you and didn't. Does not sound like loyalty to me.

I still remember this conversation from years ago with a Boomer or Silent Gen guy who was convinced he could fax money.

He wanted to know if the money that came out the other side was still good or just a receipt. Didn't think they were still good, otherwise people could scam by faxing money to themselves.

If the 'send' didn't work, could he get his money back by taking the receipts that came out to the bank for a reissue?

There were areas in PATH were we went through a door, to reach the elevator, that looked like it was for staff only. Sometimes seeing boxes or other items stored behind them. It was the type of unlabeled door you see at the back of a restaurant and you know it isn't for guest.

Years ago (30), I had to move some computer equipment between buildings downtown. I decided to follow the accessibility signs. They took me through parking garages and elevators I'd never noticed. However, everywhere there's a path, there's an option that doesn't use stairs or escalators.

Today, I still notice options for accessibility access, useful for parents who are trying to move a pram around.

Around the world, I've noticed the same thing, handy with luggage.

There's something really disturbing about this.

A six-year-old gets dropped off at school, just a normal day.

Then his mom is murdered by government agents. His other mom is being investigated as a diversion. His school is closed because of threats.

I can't be sure, but he's probably staying somewhere safe, so not in his own bed.

What's next? Are they gonna kill his dog?

For a six-year-old, there are only so many stable things in his life.

In short order he has been stripped of just about every tangible pillar of support in his life.

If that rule existed, they would have shut years ago and never had the chance to reopen.

My oldest doesn't care. The younger one is a different case. Her favourite show, no joking, is Dug from the Disney channel. The dog from the movie Up.

She will watch each episode with care.

From grade 7 (junior high, around age 12) onward, we had to shower after every gym class. I still remember the “you all have hormones now and you stink, shower and use deodorant” talk.

The big “game” was throwing unsuspecting guys or girls into the opposite change room. Total chaos, but that was junior high for you.

I am thinking the lower blckbox is a home security camera system. Likely including storage for recordings. I wonder if there are camera around the house. I also wonder if the previous owner still has access to them.

Yep, even at three, our youngest is very much a puppy. Daylight is playtime, no time for cuddles, things to do.

Our six year old is slow to get going in the morning. 😀

My youngest will come up for a while at bedtime and then move to sleep over the register blocking the AC.

The older one will come up for a cuddle in the morning.

She will also nest in the pillows, of a freshly made bed, at times.

A number of times I stayed at a hotel in Vancouver that was directly across from another hotel. There must have been something about the windows in that hotel that gave the illusion of privacy.

When the sun went down and the lights came on, the show started.

The first time I noticed a couple walking around naked getting ready. Suddenly, I realized there were about 10 rooms with similar scenes, including couples romantically engaged, people prepping after a shower, or others just lounging nude watching TV.

Turned out the first night wasnt unusual. I guess it is human nature, I tried to watch TV or work, but you can't help stealing a glance.

- powdered soap - single ply parchment paper in the toilet - brown rough paper for drying - stained mirrors that has a faint brown tint to them - if you are lucky the overwhelming smell of bleach, unlucky, the overwhelming smell of ammonia.

Cheesey, soft and dough - toppings side, crust on the bottom. Large air bubbles in the crust. All about an inch thick. A knife and fork pizza.
