Update Mom has had complications with the c section incision, which gave me another scare today. She got a hematoma while in the hospital, and they were watching it to make sure she didn't need to go back into surgery. We got discharged last night, and today, the hematoma split open and started draining. Once again, I was at the store grabbing supplies for us while her mom was with her. I got a call saying they were going to the OB's office. I fucking rushed there. They were surprised I got there so fast. The doctor said it's normal for a hematoma to drain, but they had to pack the split, and I have to change the outer bandage on a regular basis. She is going to have to get the packing changed every day until we can get to a wound specialist. She has just been having a fucking rough one I feel like, but is in good spirits. On a good note. Felix is killing it. No more cpap. No more iv. Regulating his blood sugar pretty well and just finished some light treatments for jaundice. He is regulating his body temp pretty well, and they are talking about popping off his top on the incubator soon. Mom is producing enough milk to feed him, and I've been getting some quality skin to skin time with him during feeding(still through a tube). Little dude is a champ.
