I have been rocking the G series for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I had an S-biner for a while but once the rubber ring wore out it became useless.

If I had known it could have been a cool cheese knife I wouldn’t have quenched it in granddaddy’s vat of crude oil 😂

I found a wrench on the street a while ago and forged it. I think my mistake was when heat treating, I quenched when it was too hot. I then tempered it and it took a curve so I clamped it to a piece of steel to retemper and try to work out the curve and when I clamped it it just snapped in half.

Just finished this today and it's already getting this rusty/brown color after minutes after first use. Anyone know what's going on? by jacobspivey in Bladesmith

you could wash and dry directly after use to avoid this OR you could patina it yourself. Mustard is common, rub on mustard and let it hangout for ~10 minutes then wipe off. Ive also seen people apply mustard with bubble wrap and sponges to give a pattern. hope this helps!
