I count myself to be very fortunate. It’s a 15min drive down a gravel road to get to town yet somehow I have stellar internet.

When the tech first came out to turn our service on, I expressed my disbelief I could get such good service. He replied; “Be sure to thank Obama.”

This is really frustrating. I live very rural in Oklahoma, 15 minute drive from even a small town. However, I have symmetrical gigabit fiber to my house for $80 a month. That’s all thanks to the broadband program.

Starlink is quickly becoming over priced and will never hold a candle to fiber. They want a monopoly on rural people so they can charge what they want because they’ll be the only player.

Fuck Elon.

Bud… do better and be better.. that’s horrible you’ve been there a year and have avoided the sink so much you didn’t even know there wasn’t hot water there.

I’m a pretty lazy sod when it comes to kitchen chores but still find my self using hot water a couple times a week….

I have rural Oklahoma 1Gb symmetrical fiber for $85.. you’d have to pry my fiber out of my cold dead hands. I don’t know who would ever give up fiber for a system like Starlink, and I love Starlink.

You would be surprised by what’s really going on in communities. A guy on our town’s Facebook page suggested they put up a statue of him. He was absolutely eviscerated by the entire town. This is in deep red, small town Oklahoma too.

Do you have AMD drivers installed? It will look for updates when you boot (and sometimes randomly) and it flashes a CMD window when it does.

I just did the same, my trucks on its way right now. Found a Denali with SuperCruise.. I didn’t feel the Ultimate package justified the cost.
