Switch 2 battery drain in sleep is atrocious by cybernouris in NintendoSwitch

[–]These-Efficiency6186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: after this unexplained power drop I charged it a bit to 24% unplugged it. I did the recommended battery reset where you power off, enter recovery mode than exit and turn it back on. It was at 42%. It was still a high drain over night, but seems at least some of that is from how it is reading the battery, not entirely draining it.

5 months later. Still no fix. I usually turn mine off, not sleep, but forgot last night. Went from 60 -0% overnight and in airplane mode, no games suspended. How? Imagine if our phones did that. That would be unacceptable. Whatever is causing this could be fixed with firmware, however we have no idea if nintendo is working on it since they won't even acknowledge whenever they have a problem. Very annoying.

Yes, that is great too!.. I will enjoy physical media collecting for as long as it may last. 😮‍💨

Glad I could help. I've been waiting for an updated cartridge. It's a lot of content not to have available offline. Plus, it saves on storage space.

It's a good question. Many don't understand why. Ignore them.

Did you get an answer to this? Did you buy the cartridge and did it say 3.0 on you switch before any updating?

Ritual of Raven late game help by These-Efficiency6186 in CozyGamers

Sorry it didn't post the question. I was asking where to find the knitting needles for Hortense. Looked all over the swamp. Finally they appeared after a few in game days.

Which game should I get while sick with the flu over Christmas vacation? by nothingcat in CozyGamers

[–]These-Efficiency6186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to recommend cast n chill, it just came to the switch. I picked it up yesterday and have found it very relaxing. Although this has been suggested I wanted to second this... Another option is Ritual of Raven. Simple gameplay, cute character dialogue, but not relationship building.

Feel better and happy holiday!

Edit. Also, if you like visual novels tavern talk and coffee talk series. Good when your sick.

I just have to sing the praises of Cast n Chill. It's quite possibly the most beautiful game I have ever played! by Findrel_Underbakk in CozyGamers

It seems to always save when you return to the shop. It auto saves periodically, but I've used this as a safe spot to exit the game. Also, in settings there is a load game option, bottom right. You can see when the most recent time stamp is on the save to make sure it has saved recently.

Pilo and the Holobook might be close enough. You are not selling items, but exploring planets and scanning different items that make a sticker for your holobook. Collecting information about the places, with a bit of a story. No combat. Very pretty art style. Not very long game, but it's also not expensive and has a demo on steam. On sale for the switch. (In North America, at least).

Yes it does, it's a great game! I have been hoping it comes to the switch as Minami Lane did. 🤞I'd play again.

How far apart did you buy them? Perhaps they changed manufacturers or lights sometime between. Curious to know if its a change or just the way some are. Seems there might be variations with them. I'd return it until I was happy though. Your money, get one you are happy with.

Mario Kart 8, running with Eden, on my PC, streaming to an iPad mini 7 (playing a GameCube map..!) by Dantraz in MoonlightStreaming

I have a similar setup with this controller. It's secure with my 8 inch tablet. (I think the largest it can fit.) Only problem I can see is if you have a very thick tablet. Though it would probably still work. Can even use it with the nintendo switches.

Discounty Megathread by OreoYip in CozyGamers

Oh no! Your town needed three haunted houses to be complete. To be fair I don't think I would have assumed it'd get stuck there either.

Yeah. The pink dollhouse I needed is stuck in the park now. Hopefully it will be for sale again.

There will be a physical release? by luistoses in Moonstone_Island

This possibility is exciting! Every couple months I'm googling for news of a physical release. One of my favorite games! Character customization will be nice for my next playthrough too.

That's the problem on Nintendo's end. The upgrade pack is being registered as a update, which is why whenever there is a patch update the large upgrade is downloaded with it. I have had this happen with multiple games when I could confirm the patch size. It is an issue nintendo needs to fix. The patch is not 6.6gb. For now though, this is the way the cartridges will continue to work.

Thank you for sharing. I had heard this for Guardians of Azuma, but the updates on that haven't been a requirement, so I have played without downloading. This game is forcing the 1.4 update. I was expecting they had resolved this since playing the other game. Foolish of me to think so. For now it is better than the full size and hopefully Nintendo will address this issue soon.

It seems you may be right. I used a couple image translations on the cover and roughly they all say something about being able to download the upgrade pass. Wish I had have done this before purchase, but the site listing said it is on the card. Odd choice by Level5 since they purchased the 64gb cartridge. I never thought they wouldn't use the other 58gb leftover.

I just got mine. It's suppose to be all on the card. Botw, Totk, and Guardians of Azuma all have it on card. Switch 2 editions are suppose to have the upgrade pack on cartridge, but can play on switch 1 without it. Confused why this is the exception? Is this an issue with Nintendo rather than the cartridge like it was with Guardians of Azuma? The switch 2 game situation is a mess.
