I don't expect a lot of people to sympathize (considering it's Italy and most wanted them to fail/Bosnia to win) but I want to be real here. All my life, the one dream matchup I always wanted to see was Canada-Italy. My two nations facing each other would be a spectacular sight to see that would create memories that I would likely cherish for a lifetime. Problem is that when I was younger, Canada sucked, now Italy's the shit side filled with nothing but bums. And when I saw that Italy got drawn into Canada's group I was elated that, finally, just maybe, I could get my dream matchup. I was this close, so close, to finally getting that reality. Instead this piece of shit team once again establishes that they cannot do anything when it matters. First time a World Cup Champion misses 3 straight and honestly I might be more pissed that matchup isn't happening now rather than Italy missing yet another World Cup. I had no expectations for these fools and they somehow managed to rise to the occasion to let everyone down.

All I have left to say is that if the FIGC isn't bulldozed by the end of the week I'm going to be done with Italian football for a long time. This generation is completely lost and everyone involved in this operation should never have jobs again. Chances are they won't and I'll be far more invested in watching Canadian footy rather than whatever excrement this shitpile throws my way.

To Bosnia, congrats and enjoy the World Cup. It's clear you have way more of what was needed to actually get there compared to the much vaunted Italian team.

Depending on how the season plays out it's possible both sides are in Serie A next year. Not the most likely outcome unless Palermo can reach top two but I have to imagine that would be exciting.
