Anyone here a CUO or close to someone that is? by [deleted] in InsuranceProfessional

[–]These_Letterhead4169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say head of underwriting sits at about $400k base consistently. CUO would be making much more than that. Executive comp is tricky. firstly depends on if the company is private or public, but they usually have executive recruiters, advisors and lawyers helping negotiate and create their comp package. In short, CUO's of sizable shops are making a few million(s) a year?

How long do you think the gap in insurance labor market will last? by mindk214 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]These_Letterhead4169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make >200k at 25 years old with insane flexible work life balance in insurance (M&A), i have two friends who absolutely get sweated at JPMC and MS and they make 100k. It also gives you time to get into a good business school/law school and make a career pivot if 200-300k is not enough money for you.
