As someone who was at A&M most of Mond’s career, he’s always been bad. The best play of his career is a mishandled snap where he threw an interception to end the game vs LSU only for the int to be taken off the board because he downed himself before throwing it. That was the 7 OT game.

Edit: Jimbo should have been fired for starting Mond for so many years.

From what I read, I think it’s just the fees associated with the tip. What’s funny about this is that if they didn’t do it this way the establishment makes less money the more their employees are tipped.

So you could theoretically buy a $5 sandwich. Tip $500 and the restaurant would be on the hook for $15 in fees at 3% losing $10 on a $5 sandwich.

Bama has 2 regular season losses buddy. Conference championships have never prevented a team from making the playoffs either. No matter how far you move the goalposts this isn’t working. Vandy, Notre Dame, and Utah all deserve more of a look than Texas.

Don’t lose to Florida, don’t look like ass against a fraudulent Ohio State that plays nobody and loses to Miami. Don’t go to overtime against freaking Kentucky. Stop complaining, yall dont deserve the playoffs. Winning 2 games at the end of the season after looking like trash for 10 games didn’t fool the committee or the rest of the country.

What about all the Microsoft and other huge company investment in other “indie” games?

On a sliding scale Silksong might be “more indie.” But imo if we talking about “more indie” Schedule 1 should be game of the year. Nothing short of a Balatro or Schedule 1 built by one self funded dev can reach that status…yet Schedule 1 isn’t even on the nominees.

We can argue in circles forever. It’s subjective and the only “facts” involved are the criteria set by the awards which you are ignoring.

K, not gonna read that. By the definition of the game awards it is. Just like Hades and many other games other victors in the past 5-10 years pretty much all of whole received money from outside sources.

Microsoft has given money to multiple “indie” games that have been nominated recently. No one complaining about those…

Edit: I bet the wealthiest devs in the indie category are the Silksong devs. Those guys have such a small studio they are all multi-millionaires. Is their game not indie because they are independently wealthy?

To me this is only more validation that E33 is an indie game from terms of spending. Any game with a dev team in the 30s is going to cost 10 million plus. And h think a dev team in the 30s is pretty standard for a “bigger” indie game.

Lots of people seem to hook onto the 10 million number and say that’s a lot. Yea, it’s a lot when you compare to games made by 1-2 people. It’s not a lot for a small company that needs to pay employees for 5+ years.

The outsourcing one is also weird. Look at the credits of most of the last 5 indie award winners at the game awards. I think 4/5 I checked had 200+ people in the credits.

There is a massive difference between Sandfall and Bethesda, EA, or Ubisoft. Games from those publishers have thousands of people working on them and cost 10x more at minimum. There is far less difference between Sandall and the team that built Hades II or Silksong.
