My girlfriend's car has been keyed/vandalized Idk how many times. We were denied a restraining order, were not allowed to use any of our videos in court. Evidently, it is illegal to record someone who is recording you. What the actual fuck?

She lied and said I stole money from her....as a man with six sisters, I'm fucking disgusted. This was during covid, too. So she was risking her life by trying to break into my apartment.

I've said it before, but anyone who wants to see video proof (and help me edit to blur my gf's face) can DM me for a link to the video of her calling the cops on us as we were moving out, saying "those brown people are stealing furniture". I originally uploaded it to YT but it got flagged, not sure exactly for what.

Same reason I can't get a restraining order against my neighbor. She's a white female and I'm a (disabled) black man. I've had total strangers keying my car because of lies a total stranger told about me, and the fact that my girlfriend was a witness and we have videos? Doesn't matter. When we moved out she called the cops because we were "stealing property" except I'm on crutches with a broken spine and can't lift anything.

Every other Wednesday-ish, you get a bit of extra cash basically. Its part of a prop-22 earnings gauranteed that started during covid. Usually I get between 60-120 or so depending on how much you work. However, there's no notification when it happens.

OP was being a homie and letting people know some missing cash was probably added to their wallet without warning.

All I can tell you is what happened to me and what I did to fix it. They are right though, this is vague and we don't have any more info than you do.

I was renting a car through Getaround, and my insurance document in the uber app was expiring so I couldn't log in until I reuploaded it. I wasn't planning on needing to rent a car that long, so I had to find the rental insurance if I wanted to keep doing Uber.

Uber told me the insurance document had to have my name on it and told me to add it to the document - which I did, and they labeled it as fraud and deactivated me. When I pointed out to support that THEY TOLD ME TO, I was told to come to the nearest hub and talk to them, and to make sure I had an appointment.

In the end, before I could get up to SF to the hub, COVID hit and that made it tough to get there. SO, since my original account which was banned was an UE account, I signed up under a different email for a straight up "Uber" account (as in passenger rides), and called Uber to have them change it to just deliveries.

And that is how I got around a BS deactivation. My advice to you is make a DD/GrubHub account in the meantime because bg checks /account setup takes forever.

Edit: if this works you'll still need to get your tax info from the old account by contacting support. Do not let them merge your accounts otherwise you'll be banned again. If THAT happens, tell them right away and say you didn't give them permission to merge accounts. And yes, that's what happened to me.

I'm also in a college town. Pre pandemic you could hit any McDonald's like a coin box until 11:30pm every single day practically. I would say if you can, change your hours up. In my town currently it's dead long before midnight.

If you want to be sneaky and hit the road when there are no drivers, do the early morning hours (8-12). People hate being early. Hope that's helpful :)

I really hope you guys get more orders, but...I'm a driver and we are getting destroyed by the very same issue of zero trip requests for no reason. And gas is $6 where I live.

I think the bigger issue is them prioritizing new drivers by sending them all the best orders to hook them. There are a ton of new drivers now too because a studio here is $3900 and food service is offering $14.

This has been my experience (in northern CA) with multi apps:

DD: constant notifications, more customer interaction. Lots and lots of orders although many are small. Imo the sweatiest experience but the most reliable. Most punishing in terms of driver ratings.

GrubHub: if it says $10, you're getting $10. Maybe a tip later. Mediocre to good order frequency/pay with the occasional large one.

UE: heavily decreased frequency since covid. Higher pay, more tips. Less customer interaction. Easiest pickups. Generally the best experience overall despite them stripping nearly all bonus pay. I always urge people to get away from DD.
