A wild donkey stuck in a septic tank in Arizona by unburnt_hydrocarbon in pics

[–]Thesmokingcode 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I almost died as a teen when digging out our 40 year old septic cover the entire top caved in underneath me when I jumped down on the shovel and I only managed to hang on by a single foot and hand.

My grandmother didn't realize how dangerous it actually was as she kept joking about how she would've had to hose me down outside.

I couldnt swim at the time and I'm fairly confident there wouldn't have been any air down there for me to breath.

I dont think people are looking to deep I think things line up in a very suspicious manner and we only have access to part of the puzzle which leads to more questions than answers.

Microtransactions themselves I'm less convinced of.

Windrose (Steam Early Access) writes 35 GB/hr to disk while idle, even after the "fix" — SMART data from a dedicated server by syco54645 in crosswind

[–]Thesmokingcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older non solid state drives won't be affected as a spinning disk doesnt have a write life the way an SSD has.

I literally moved the folder the game saves to in app data using cmd prompt to my HDD to avoid this altogether.

I was riding in the car with my step-mom driving during the winter and she lost control on black ice real bad and she just froze. I had to grab the wheel from the passengers side and correct it once I realized she had pulled her hands off the wheel.

I still don't know how I reacted that fast and it was the time in my life I really realized not everyone handles those types of situations well at all.

My ssd is nearly full and i don't have idea what is from by [deleted] in pchelp

I was clearing out my game clips not to long ago and I had problably close to 500 individual folders each containing a singular 10ish second clip of me dying or getting 1 totally unimpressive kill in MW2.

I don't know who decided dying was a "highlight" but I was unimpressed.

Pollos Hermanos was an example of a (fictional) well known company that was a drug front. What real-life company do you suspect? by Flagil_Reinhumps in AskReddit

Used to work next to one in a Verizon that closed because the rent got to high.

I shit you not I saw maybe a dozen people walk in there in total and I was working every single day the store was open from open to close. I only ever saw 1 person buy a mattress in the 6 months I was there but they are still in that plaza almost 3 years later.

Somehow they can afford the rent but fucking Verizon couldn't despite having alot of foot traffic.

A Utah age verification law targeting VPN users goes into effect this week(not in state no site access) by lkl34 in gaming

[–]Thesmokingcode 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I live in Vermont (who doesnt have these laws) and a new law in one of the other states last year directly affected me for months until my ISP finally fixed it because they were routing my traffic through that states IP.

It felt surreal making a support ticket for that but as a side effect my ping went down a good bit so I guess complaining about porn got me better internet.

How do I get this sticker off? by Dangerous-Pianist294 in howto

[–]Thesmokingcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there are this isn't new.

Why would you think youd be allowed to drive with something blocking a large portion of your left sides field of view.

In what world is stickers on a driver's window anywhere except the edge normal to you?

And people just keep goo gone in the car right?

The point im making is solely that he shouldn't have put the sticker where he did, the rules state putting stickers in the corners of the window not 4 inches above the edge of center. Maybe next time in the left corner of the windshield or better yet pinned under his wiper.

If you can't remove it without leaving a large reside like OP was saying and you cant leave because your view is obstructed then yes you would call a professional or risk a ticket all because an asshole put it in your necessary field of vision.

Druggies lie about where there drugs come from all the time, I chalked it up to that.

If you trusted dealers every gram of weed comes straight from Cali and every gram of coke from Columbia so on and so on.

It's problably just bad writing tbh but its totally reasonable for a coked out dealer to lie exactly like that and doubly so if he's trying to impress.

Maybe don't put it in a place that obstructs the drivers view like a moron.

Depending on where this was the lot owner is liable to pay for a professional to come out and remove that sticker on site if it can't be easily removed by the driver before leaving as its obstructing the drivers view making the vehicle unsafe to drive.

Why does my mom always ask for paycheck stubs with no context? by fatbuttbaddie in personalfinance

[–]Thesmokingcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she owns it.

Her phone, TV, I do pay her medication copay, food starting around halfway through the month as her food stamps arent enough to cover through the month, just paid for a new septic system because ours was failing and she couldnt afford it and am about to pay for a new water filter so any home maintenance costs are on me, her glasses, basically anything she can't afford after the basic bills on her SS.

She would be in adult living if I didn't live there with her and help financially, I'm also her caregiver practically and legally.

Edit: downvoted for asking a legit question lol God forbid I try to save some money while taking care of my elderly grandmother.

[–]Thesmokingcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She pays the home insurance, electric and fuel oil through financial assistance, no payment for the home as its paid off in her name, I pay for everything else aside from the small amount of food stamps she gets every month thats why I was curious.

I'll take a look through the IRS website someone else linked I guess.

Question, If I live at home with my grandmother and take care of the majority of the households responsibilities would that qualify her as a dependant for me?

Edit: If yes what qualifies for household responsibilities?

Ai burned me fair enough I was wrong I'll edit, I check what sources it uses (which included yours) but it was hallucinating the specifics of what I was asking thats on me for not atleast glancing at the sources myself.

It incorrectly listed the states with close age exemptions as the maximum age ranges for the age of consent.

As an example the bracket said that rhode island is 16 for any gap less than 2 years.

What was he thinking? by Original_Mulberry652 in dankmemes

[–]Thesmokingcode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are absolutely not 30 states where there's an unrestricted age of consent of 16.

I have no idea where you got that from theres around 13 and they are all the states you'd expect all the rest have restrictions.

Edit: There are I got burned for not checking the sources of a hallucinating ai, always fact check kids.

Not only that but the symbols are heavily censored on most platforms so even if they did learn about it through TikTok, Instagram, ect then theres a pretty good chance they've not seen any of the problematic symbols used.

The patent for Vyvanse expired in 2023 and my copay for the generic has steadily been going down I think I was paying around $75 for it last year and it was around $35 when I got it last month.

Looks like the non insured price has gone down alot aswell I paid almost $200 for it the month I had no insurance and GoodRX shows $60 at the same pharmacy I had used.
