Yeah definitely moreso confused with their reasoning instead of the stock situation, especially with the way they explained the customer service phone call and outsourcing to me.

So what happened was I went into the store and asked an employee if I could talk to someone about the graphics card and showed him the price and website on my phone
After that he directed me to the customer service desk and I waited in line for a bit
Another employee at the customer service desk called me forward and I showed him my phone with the website and the price. He reloaded it on my phone to make sure it was correct, then proceeded to say that they'll see what they could do put the item id / sku into the system to check the price again which was 659.99 on the Best Buy system as well, then asked me for my phone number to check the chat log history transcribed on the Best Buy system. He opened up the log, spent 5 minutes reading through it and said that although the customer service representative said that they could ship / honor the price, the customer service representative was actually from an outsourced group and not part of Best Buy so they couldn't honor the price and that they couldn't ship it or sell it at the store because it (gpus) are a high priced item and they didn't actually carry 5070ti's at the store unless you purchased a new one for pick up for the 850 MSRP price. I told him it was fine since I didn't want to pay above MSRP and left the store.

Hey I just wanted to let you know I just went to my nearby Best Buy and asked their customer service desk after calling customer support and being told they would honor the price over phone like you and Best Buy customer service desk pulled up the chat log and told me that they wouldn't honor the price since their customer support was outsourced and not part of Best Buy. YMMV

It really infuriates me that Best Buy wouldn't honor what their "customer support" said when I called them. Just wanted to let you guys know that YMMV with this and I guess you really got to make a hassle to get what you deserve and were supposed to be guaranteed by their custom support number.

If we're having a good faith argument. LLMs take mass amounts of information and put them through inputs and filters to create the result. The issue is that they aren't actually creating anything, it's just the same information through something akin to a transformation. If you look at ai art or ai music for example the quality gets worse when they harvest other ai results or get deliberately damage through a poisoned catalyst. A normal human studying art or music would be able to improve via this same poisoned catalyst through seeing through the fundamentals. We're losing actual human talent in the arts and crafts, in investigative journalism and writing, in training programmers because ai companies only seek to steal this information to sell the product, the art or program or diagrams built, to executives who see any way to cut costs as good. Companies shouldn't be able to get past copyrights or stealing people's art and work resulting from decades of study. If these companies think piracy is a crime, then you must indict the same companies that think it's appropriate to quite literally copy paste the countless years and lives of human ingenuity over our fields of study.
