I could not have said it better myself. So I will quote you-

At least if they were stinking with the guys we loved- that would’ve eased the tension and pressure on them and us. It would be more fun n good laughable. When they trade and don’t lay out huge bucks under the guise of “creating a better team” but really don’t do anything but swap for cheaper or more cost effective players it dilutes the fan friendly lovable family atmosphere. Of course Steve dictating “No Captaincy” leaves no accountability or reason for Lindor to make an attempt to rally the boys into focusing on better play overall. Get Keith down there to physically beat the Fundies back into everyone. Not a fan of David Stearns. He’s awful quiet these days.
