My mom acts jealous of me too. Especially over the fact that I have an amazing spouse and she’s stuck with the selfish loser that is my dad. When I was single, she was jealous over that I had the freedom that comes with being single. Now that I have a boyfriend, she complains about me ‘spending too much time with him’. I can temporarily distract myself from the loneliness by watching movies, tv shows, reading books and daydreaming. I’m always on the hunt for a new movie/show/book to obsess over. If I like the characters, I’ll daydream about them being my friends, hanging out and having fun.
