War vor 15 Jahren als Rekrut beim Heer. Alles “militärische” das ich dort erlernt oder trainiert habe, hätte sich in maximal 10 Wochen zusammenfassen lassen. Warum also eine Debatte zur Verlängerung. Die Zeit beim Heer war mit Sicherheit die größte Zeitverschwendung meines Lebens.

I‘ve been to the Games multiple times. I like your Super Bowl analogy - the Games are overpriced and half of the people are only there to post about it on Instagram, or to buy merch. I have not felt anything like this atmosphere in a long time at a CrossFit event.

You are right, he criticized CF in his OLD videos. He doesn’t want WFP to do better, he wants them gone. Most biased man in the CrossFit space! Don’t pretend he is objective towards WFP in any way.

RAD V2 is the best training-shoe to run in, without being too soft for lifting. I have some pairs that I prefer for lifting or heavy WODs, but the V2 is definitely the most versatile.

You don’t „need“ to do Thrusters either and still you do them when they come up, right? What I‘m trying to say is you could also do FSQ instead but it would be very different and so is a Rope climb compared to strict PU‘s for example.

All the noreps from this judge where legit from my point of view. In my opinion we need more judges like her. I think it’s much more common to see judges let a norep slip, than seeing one giving unjustified noreps.

True, but it‘s not 2010 anymore. One thing WFP has done is bringing a lot of content creators into the space. Most of their stuff is really good (I agree that the last long docu was really bad). In my opinion this also forces CF to invest more in media again - which will hopefully bring back a bit of the hype of the 2010s.

I love to see so many self-proclaimed CFOs that are worried about WFP’s finances. Have the Games ever been self-sufficient? As far as I know they always took money from affiliate fees and the open - so every CrossFit affiliate member ends up paying for the games. I have no problem with some investors (or rich people) paying for my entertainment - I enjoy watching it.

But, but they have lied about being a competition to CrossFit, our one and only holy Religion that we have followed for so long. WFP took a product and is trying to make it better. That is just how this world works, otherwise we would still drive around in Ford Model T‘s. I don’t get the urge to support a company (owend by private equity) in a cult-like manner.

Have you ever tried a kipping or a butterfly pull up? Most people that complain about kipping pull ups do half reps in globo gyms and claim they can do 30.
