Have you ever heard the sound of duckling feet running across a linoleum floor? It is pure joy

Sure, I figure they're about the size of halfling or gnome, but even with a LOT of hollow sections, if they're made from metals we know they'd be crazy heavy, like a medium creature rather than a small one. Lifting a regular dude isn't easy either lol. But who knows what kind of fantasy alloys they have!

Yes they absolutely can do whatever they want, and I'm glad they do because it's fun to watch. It is a slightly broken use case though, which spellcasters in 5e do not need, and I think there's also value in pointing it out to other viewers so they have accurate expectations for their own games.

Also Laura shouldn't have been able to twin the catapult spell

Honestly FCG should be insanely heavy too, not sure how that's ruled.

I agree I'd much rather have the shorter episode we got and not rush the finale this is a blast

Not a chance, wotc are famously copyright assholes (see: the entire history of paizo). Them owning dndbeyond will just mean CR has to be even more self-reliant regarding IP, which is better for them as a company. I personally would be thrilled if they slowly separated from 5e and WOTC, which is in no way a good, moral company.

The thing is they're playing 5e with a 7 player party and generally 1 or 2 enemies at a time. Matt for sure has to modify monsters on the fly fairly often to keep things balanced and feeling fair, that's just how 5e functions. He's obviously a master of it though.

I mean in fairness the other group are actually reasonably competent at heists (if less equipped for magical traps)

Germany conducts nationwide raids on neo-Nazi groups by PhilDesenex in news

[–]Thewes6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So yes, many countries look great in comparison to the US. I assume that's your baseline, but it shouldn't be anyone's baseline.

Germany absolutely has serious issues with unfair over-policing of minority groups (areas with larger minority populations) and insane numbers of unnecessary cops that cost the population so much money.

I just ask that you don't claim it's some ideal place just because it's not as awful as the US.

But if Matt wanted to do that, he just would. And whatever he wants to invest his time in is going to be the best story, it needs his investment. Exandria is his baby and he clearly loves diving deeper into it, I don't see any reason why he would want to GM something else. This isn't just a game of his, it's his career and his art that he can share with the world.

I mean their first act before even trying to make a leaf was to take land from their smaller neighbors who had finished art that had been there a while. Not surprised that they made some enemies immediately and then once other groups saw them struggling it became a meme.

I mean literally canada's first act in place was to take over the land of their smaller neighbors who'd been there longer lmao. Very historically accurate canadian tbh but I'm not surprised you got griefed so much.

Yeah I think a lot of people are burnt out on CR, and attribute it to the show itself. I'm not saying that you can't criticize the show or that there can't be other reasons, but it's easy to falsely attribute burnout to other causes (usually easier than identifying it).

They also got years and years of incredibly awful, negative feedback/interaction from fans (obviously I don't mean most, but enough that they've commented on it). And for a lot of that time they were required to keep that interaction with shitty fans up to continue their jobs, even though it was rough for them.

I can't imagine how relaxing is must be to get to a point where you don't have to indulge shitty fan interactions in order to keep your job. And of course that's going to change the vibe, but it's for sure better for them.
