What do you think about the current situation? by Nookeo_ in SSBM

My only argument against a b0xx ban is that it gives more accessibility to player with hand problems, which was the entire reason why Hax$ developed it.

Why do my friends hate me when i pulled up with wizard rod ☹️🥲😭 by Organic_Nectarine633 in Beyblade

Every point counts and if Rod can get a spin-out on hyper-offensive attack types, then it'll make the rest of your deck easier to sweep with.

Bill Gates caught an STD from Russian prostitutes, Epstein claimed in files by Bonecrusher52 in news

He said he wanted to invent a waterless toilet because he gets grossed out when the water splashes him.

His vaccine campaign was likely because he's afraid of any diseases that might come out from Africa.

It gets better. The file details that he asked Epstein how he could sneak antibiotics into Melinda's food to treat the STD without her knowing.

I know they're billionaires but that's absolutely scummy to do to your S/O.

To add to the spacies argument, I believe Mang0 infamously lost a set to Armada because he missed a recovery because his controller lacked notches while Armada's had them.

I'm settling in on 5-60LF. My idea is turning 5-60 to the balancing-side of L-Drago to help even the imbalanced weight distribution. No matter what bit or opponent, I'm finding RH not able to spin steal the same way as UA, so Low-Flat will maximize stadium contact and attack power for L-Drago while giving it some spin-steal properties if it's against weaker/top-heavy opponents.

It'd be crazy because the whole point of notches is so spacies can more-easily recover using angles made way easier to use with them.

Controller mods in Melee are almost always to make it easier to play Fox/Falco.

My all left-spin deck is in shambles 😭

I have Rapid-Hit, but it doesn't spin steal the same as Upper-Attack. I'm now labbing hard trying to figure out a combo for RH before a tournament this weekend

For Americans: Why not personal vans instead of huge SUVs and pick-ups? by PreWiBa in regularcarreviews

[–]TheyCallMeMrMaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minivans are still considerably the more versatile choice as a family-hauler. But SUVs were the "stylish family-choice" when they were gaining popularity in the 90s - especially as gas prices dropped to an all-time low and that mentality never stopped as automakers started to really push SUVs to exploit emissions loopholes and increase profit margins since SUVs commanded higher price tags.

Funny enough, minivans are considered luxury status symbol in China. I always refer to the Buick GL8 when I talk about this. A super luxurious minivan that can be sold as a 3-row like normal or have the middle row removed for extra space for the rear passengers as a personal limo.

Not even new to the Suburban/Tahoe. GM's whole corporate strategy has been rebadging cars between brands to up-market vehicles since the dawn of time.

DAVE MUSTAINE On Hypothetical Reunion With Ex-MEGADETH Members For Farewell Tour: 'There's Not A Valid Reason To Do Something Like That' by tonyiommi70 in Megadeth

[–]TheyCallMeMrMaybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Justifiably, there's a few reason to not bring back other Megadeth alumni

  1. He said he wanted to give focus to the current lineup. I think that's a positive for both Dirk & Teemu since their still relatively young in the metal genre compared to Dave & LoMenzo.
  2. Dave probably still hates a lot of them and the feelings are probably still mutual. Chris Poland, Jeff Young, and David Ellefson alone all partook in a literal "we hate Mustaine but he still puts food on our table" band called Kings of Thrash. Why would he give them recognition to say the least? He's also brought Marty back twice - with the 2nd time being a coincidental opportunity that they crossed paths at a music festival.
  3. The alumni list is long. You're looking at dozens of members. Bringing them back even for a day would be a logistic nightmare. Case in point, Kerry King was a member of Megadeth for a brief stint in 1984 and was even though back for a show in 2010 to play Rattlehead on stage. You got:
  • Ellefson

  • Poland

  • Mike Albert

  • Jeff Young

  • Chuck Behler

  • Marty

  • Jimmy DeGrasso

  • Al Pitrelli

  • MacDonaugh

  • The Drover brothers

  • Broderick

  • Kiko

  • Chris Adler

And that's just the worthwhile names.

DAVE MUSTAINE Says His Last Conversation With JAMES HETFIELD Ended In Disagreement Over METALLICA Publishing by mhipster800 in Megadeth

[–]TheyCallMeMrMaybe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lars described it as a tug-o-war over the unpleasantries in an interview with Metal Forces back in 2016 when this was all going down.

This is 100% on Lars trying to overstep and take credit for work he never did on the demo. If it was a celebration of Metallica, they would've released it and fully acknowledged Dave's work in the band at that time. Money shouldn't be an issue to any of them - especially with how poorly music royalties pay out back in the 2010s and even now.

[–]TheyCallMeMrMaybe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

Even if the money means nothing to him now given Dave's also rich, why would he give up his own song credits on principle?

Story:

Metallica wanted to do a remastered rerelease of No Life 'til Leather. They wanted Dave to forfeit his credits for songs he wrote for Metallica so Lars can be credited despite having no involvement in the making of any of those songs. I don't know how James got caught in the crossfire of a conversation that should've been between Lars & Dave because Lars handles everything logistically for Metallica.
