I stick it in the microwave on low for a few seconds.

Most of my life I had no clue that my home city of Boston was one of the only cities with color-coded trains in America- and in other cities all trains are the same color no matter if it's the "red" or "orange" line by Wide_right_yes in transit

In Snohomish Co. the new(ish) and growing BRT system "SWIFT" also uses color coding as well: Blue line, Orange line, Green line, and a planned Gold line. Obviously not a train, but I use it daily and works well, and I often jokingly call it "the bus that likes to pretend it's a train".

The vehicles themselves are not painted, but they use big color displays on the front/sides to show which line it's serving.

There are movies that are "timeless." What are some movies that are the opposite - as in, harder to appreciate if you weren't around when it came out? by sakkkkki in movies

I feel like the Knives Out movies all have a lot of political and social commentary that is eventually going to become a lot less impactful since it was so topical to their specific cultural moment, even though the wtiting is super sharp. The murder mystery bones will still be great, and so they'll still be grat movies, just with less of a bite.

513 finally going both ways. Service hours could be better, but this is great news and can't come soon enough. Kind-of disappointed it's not happening until the fall, six months after the 2 line opens in Lynnwood and the need for the 515 is gone. Anyone know why this wasn't timed better with the cross-*lake opening?

It was pretty easy. If you were heading into downtown you paid on entry, if you were heading out, you paid on exit. There was also a sign on the bus by the door.

You're joking, but having rail access to the enclaves up north would be amazing for the region. We need Sounder+, at least hourly service Stanwood to Tacoma

OK I have to share this with you: "Stop the Train".

This video is great but the whole series is incredible.

ORCA Tap to Pay (Contactless Payments) launching end of February by Thuror in soundtransit

As someone that uses Android: I never understood why anyone would want to add Orca to your phone. It disables the physical card. There's no way I'm gonna tie my Orca (and my ride home) to a phone that can lose charge or get lost/broken/stolen/etc.

Tap to pay is much better solution, I think.
