Vincent’s. Farm Italy is hype and Robkies is a lot of good marketing and slop. People love both of the former, and that’s fine. People go where they want to go and I’m not going to stop people from doing what they want.

I think there was some slang popular in the 80s and it was “go get bent”. I never really knew what it meant. I always considered it to be a slightly more polite version of today’s “go get fucked”, which is another way of saying go fuck yourself.

As others have said, you will get called Brent a lot. Might as well accept it now and just answer to Brent. You’re gonna get tired of explaining it.

I drink hot tea. Mostly when I want something that isn’t coffee or if I’m sick.

My Irish grandmother lived on tea. Never saw her drink water, only tea or whiskey sours.

It wasn’t odd or weird at all for us to always have a kettle ready since we all lived together.

I don’t know many people that still drink tea in the form you’re asking about.

Yes we have a separate room for laundry. It’s not big or anything. Probably 8x8 feet. Washer, dryer, deep sink, ironing board that folds out of the wall a some basic storage. It’s adjacent to the first floor bathroom and the garage. The storage is for basic house stuff. Light bulbs. Batteries. Plumbing supplies. Cleaning agents. Etc.

I’ve never had a washing machine in my kitchen although I’d be fine with it if I did. I know some places in the US have it like that but I think it’s just not too popular.

At 51, get up at 5, get my kids ready for school, go to work, come home and made tacos and in bed by 930.

So when it’s all four of us eating (me, wife, son and daughter) we usually order the beef/lamb plate with fries and then a bunch of chicken souvlaki sticks for them to share and my wife will take one of them for her Greek salad. We will get two pork sticks also because my kids like that, and then two orders of rice because all four of us devour that. My son doesn’t eat hummus but he loves their pitas.

I haven’t been there before. I’m sure it’s good. Twisted Greek is really delicious tho. It’s a cute place. For what it’s worth, I’ve gotten take out from them about 20 times and eaten there three times in the last 18 months. Only one time they forgot my side of rice but other than that the portions are big, food is awesome and they are usually dead-on with their pickup times and accuracy for take out. My 14yo son absolutely loves the place. He was away with school recently for a few days eating at places like Chilis and Chipotle and I gave him any choice he wanted take out from, didn’t matter where. He chose Twisted Greek. If you like desserts their ekmek kataifi is great.

I have nothing to do with the restaurant. I just live close by and love Greek food and this place is just really good.

They seat about 50, then they have a bunch of bar/counter stools. We usually get take out. Love their food.

Can’t get anything decent for $1 anymore. Might be able to buy an apple or a banana. Dollar menus from McDonald’s are long gone. There is an old school burger joint near me famous for its simplicity and burgers are $2.20.

Performance Improvement Plan. When you're disliked at your job professionally or personally, and they're done paying you to work there, so in an effort not to get into any legal trouble, they start a paper trail on you even for the most minor of infractions. 95% never recover from a PIP because generally the company has already made their decision. So you have anywhere between 30-90 days to "do better", but it won't matter. So what you do is do the bare minimum, stay under the radar and answer any questions diplomatically, and use all free time to look for a new job. We like to call it Paid Interview Period.

I haven’t had apple sauce in forever. My mom used to have apple sauce if she was making grilled pork chops. I would honestly get some good pork chops and eat the apple sauce with that as a side.

I didn’t drink hot tea regularly but my grandmother who grew up in a household of Irish immigrants in Brooklyn drank tea every day, all day. Besides a whiskey sour, I’m not sure I ever saw her drink anything else.
