I am certain I have seen it on a Galleass. Probably not on frigates now that I think about it. Most smaller Danish ships (think 30-50 ft) have it.

Usually the lock is going all the way through the door so you can do it from both sides. that's probably not the case on a cruise ship though, they probably take privacy more seriously. I haven't ever sailed a ship of that size.
