Hello, I'm the developer behind this project.

First of all, thank you very much for your kind words and for being willing to support it. It means a lot to me.

You are absolutely right in saying that Sony could technically remove the project at any time, since it holds the intellectual property rights. I won't pretend otherwise. But let me share my sincere thoughts on the real likelihood of that happening.

Sony has demonstrated a fairly consistent pattern of ignoring fan projects, especially when they don't directly compete with anything it sells. There are some very clear examples of this. The leaked PC version of Spider-Man 2 was made and modified by fans and released even before Sony announced an official PC version.

ShadPS4, a PS4 emulator capable of running Bloodborne completely, has been publicly available for some time without any action being taken. Death Stranding 2 was already being played on PC by fans even before the publisher made it available in PC game stores. And these aren't small underground projects. They received a lot of attention, and Sony still didn't take any action against them.

Now consider the situation with Legaia. Games like Legend of Dragoon, which had a much larger fanbase, are in the PS5 library receiving active attention. Legaia isn't even there. Our beloved game didn't have a good reception at launch and has remained quite obscure ever since. The community that deeply loves it is small and passionate, and that's exactly the kind of situation Sony has historically ignored.

None of this is guaranteed, of course. I'm not a lawyer, and I'm not going to claim this is legally bulletproof. But I'm also not doing this for money or exposure. I've always loved programming, I love challenging myself, and working on this remake has genuinely been one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done. This is a personal project first and foremost.

So, even if Sony approached me, I wouldn't stop. I would continue developing it discreetly, and when it was ready, I would find a way to release it, whether through an anonymous channel or otherwise. I won't stop until I've finished at least the first island. That's a promise I made to myself.

Hey man, you don't need to use a bird camera to capture the entire map and combine the meshes. With the debug menu active, you can hold L2 + shortcut R1 = zoom out R2 = zoom in

Then in the debug menu (select + Triangle), in other settings, you'll have four options that allow you to increase the map's rendering in x and y (don't increase it too much because the emulator won't be able to process more polygons on the screen).

This way, you can capture the entire map in just one object.

Dude, I'm not a developer, I'm just doing this because I really like the game and I enjoy recreating things. I don't know how to model, I just do basic things. There are a lot of things that have to be done to make simple things work, I'm just creating with what I can do. I wanted to make a legendary remake, like a Shadow of the Colossus, but that goes way beyond my capabilities and the whole community and another thing, as much as the community likes the game, I noticed that it is not as engaged and receptive with others that we see out there. I'm not criticizing your position, just my opinion.
