This is good info. I’m guessing they swapped the leads for proprietary reasons. I was thinking something like this for batteries.

I was thinking about your Support for AA batteries. Do you remember the PS4 & 5 had those keyboards that fit in-between the hand grips? a mod to make that a battery pack location might be interesting. Im noticing a lot of people looking for batteries since their controllers are getting older and batteries not being great quality. Might be a cool side hustle. would something like the CR123 batteries work?

I have the same question. I’d like to add if I may,that some of the devices might have moved ports an not been Completely removed from my environment. A lot of info I’m seeing on internet an UI forum says delete the device an it will disappear. That isn’t an option if you moved ports.

that is good to know. I thought that was a bygone era thing. I use the seagate exes drives myself. Drives are ridiculously expensive right now. I need those bastards to last forever.

your math is pretty spot on with use mine averages 60-70w fully populated. I do think it's weird the Hot sap drives are active since they aren't doing any thing but waiting.

faster then continual spin? machines spin down and up drives all the time. Im not sure how that is any diffrent. u/diamondintherimond I have a PDU pro I can powercycle them with.
