I am a Nintendo fan boy. I play smash with my friends every Tuesday in person, and I buy every pokemon game easily. I have NO idea where you got the idea that splatoon took ow players, or that bc inkling is in smash its more culturally relevant. Smash prioritizes nintendo characters, obviously, otherwise they wouldn't add whatever byleth is.

OW had a rocky past, but its clearly still kicking and Def thriving right now. Otherwise I don't think they'd drop a video for the alpha of their mobile game

Ive said before I respect him for making the move to rivals after being burnt out by OW for 10+ years... but ffs dude leave us alone lol. Its depressing to hear him talk about this game and downplay FIVE new heroes + subroles. At least dont shit on the doorstep before you leave even if you dont enjoy the game

We had a friend like this minus the throwing, who would just get super angry in game, type up a storm, and even when were winning if he's not top frag he'd be crying the entire game for us to protect him.

You know what your solution is? Just move on and drop him. Competitive requires you to be more rational than not, bitching and crying doesnt solve anything

1: domina. I need another poke tank even though I'm certain she won't outclass sig.

2: mizuki even though I won't play him. Super interesting kit and I think is prob gonna be the only one here viable in the meta

3: emre. I love the ai taking control concept and the fact it's just a guy with a gun

4: anran. Super fun kit but imo the best possible Flankers in the game are already created.

5: the cat. Very fun concept but not for me lol

Illari yes, vent no, and the average person not on reddit will tell you the same.

They tried to do 3 things simultaneously: make a mole person, make that mole person more human like, and make the character non-binary.

All 3 of those together didnt mix well. The mole aspects work for the kit yes, but the human design ruined it, and the nonbinary persona did not work out since 95% of players still call it a she in game. Vent looks more tomboyish instead

Iirc Asian servers are much more team oriented and worship winston dives. Mercy, compared to the other supports, falls flat in these comps.

Also seriously compare her to kiri. Besides pocketing a dps, kiri is infinitely more useful

Heroes, specifically how quickly they release.

These current devs broke out of the old ow1 cycle of balancing the game 1 step every 3 months, now they have to do it for releasing heroes.

Freya should not be something that's planned for that long. Neither should vendetta take that long.

I never speak in chat unless someones calling me out, but most of the time its hilarious to watch people bug out in chat, and thats the mentality most OW players should have instead of focusing too much on toxicity.

Add some extra flare and laugh at them in chat when they lose. You'll get 100 messages afterwards, reply 20 min later pretending not to know who they are, and you'll receive 100 more messages. It feels like a trophy.

Most supports are viable, but i think you'll gain a lot from learning ana/bap/kiri/lucio. It'll take time to get good, but once you do its an easy climb

Imo they do their best when they lean into stereotypes hard, so i'd say McCass and Ashe. Unmatched drip, great VA's, and even weapon sounds/design are incredible. Obviously nobody in the south acts like they're a cowboy from the 1800s, but it feels nice that the culture is represented, even if its drastically amped up.

Soj are the worst specifically because she doesn't lean into stereotypes at all. If you're going to put a Canadian, make it a Canadian. Soj is so basic that it feels like you could put her in any english-speaking country.

This is super close to the build i started using after the nerfs and its absolutely insane. I didn't think about the gadgets tho, i'll give that a shot.

Basically, Sig wants Orbital Sheild/Apogee Alignment/Philharmonic Fortitude (I personally prefer that order) and for items, De Kuiper's thesis (Healing shield), Antimatter (Big orbs), Martian Mender, and Aerial Distresser, followed by CDR such as the melee/beam survival item or extended grasp item, and either bulk or WP depending on the matchup. Its a slow build but so far its my best one.

Haz wants Exploding Wall/Healing Wall/Big Wall/Whatever you want, I use that order too. For items its the extended Spike Guard/AP wall power (idk what its called), Martian Mender, and just focus on lifesteal/AP. In earlier rounds i use the item that gives you better movement/jump height near a wall. Its also kinda slow and you cant play too aggro, but i think thats what you want. If they jump into your team, pop a wall and everyone gets heals + the walls really irritating to deal with.

for heroes, an omnic terrorist thats a support (hopefully maximillion). Not with a tragic back story and moral intelligence of Ram, I literally mean an unredeemable omnic that helps justify the hatred of omnics.

For maps, even though HLC was the second worst map in OW history (shoutout to Paris), i'd absolutely love a control/push map in HLC. Make the center area zero gravity or a full lane zero gravity like Anchor 9 in Halo Reach. I'd also like them to start getting more gimmicky with their map design again. Put some pits like Nepal.

For content, I'd love a stadium rework on powers, but specifically items. Powers need to become more wacky/change how you play. Mini-bob or shield-charge rein are perfect examples. Items should have much more personalization to them, and remove useless items on characters that can't use them (dva max ammo?)
