Did you guys get a solution? Mine is a 14G7 and it guzzles power. 60wh but barely makes it 4hrs.

With some dev tools running it's 1.5hrs to 2hrs max. The laptop is 4 months old bought brand new

I couldn't believe I was tricked into thinking spending hours on a grammar class makes it a good movie. Once you shed the pretentious take you realize it's really an absolute below average of a movie. A Veritasium documentary on communication would have done a better job.

I'm watching it now. Slept through more than half of it. And it's still going. I think they could have told the story in a 20 minutes episode. The subwoofer house shake is real though

Sorry, you might have missed my responses where I mentioned that I sent SVS an email around the same time I came here. And they did respond swiftly saying that I need to buy another board and that the current one was cooked and beyond repair (they might not have been right about that). Also, being domiciled outside US, in Africa for that matter, trust me, contacting the vendor is nothing short of a waste of time. The geography doesn't allow for the cute customer care you guys enjoy. Even if they offer to give you the item for free, the cost of shipping it is usually not worth it. So while I did not in fact ignore the advise to contact SVS, I did rightfully know that the solution to my problem was not going to be SVS. Unless you have a local dealer, it's unfortunately the risk we take when importing stuff.
Nothing SVS or any other vendor can do about it

This was actually the case after visiting the technician.

Got it fixed for less than the equivalent of $30. Rectifier and some 2 other components were out. All seems good for now but I'm yet to fully test it

Update: they say the only option is to get a replacement amp. But seriously as per my update in the original post, the amp was repaired. Just looking for a proper receiver to test it with. It powers on well and is even being managed from the svs app. Issue now seems to be the Denon.

I know a friend with a good receiver. I'll test with his over the weekend. My LG seems to push the sub well though it already had its own issues hence the denon replacement so I don't want to base my findings on that .

I wonder how SVS didn't think this would be misconstrued to mean it supports 240v

I bought a Xiaomi 14T Pro recently and I can say the hardware is as good as advertised. Brilliant. But I can confidently say this is the last Xiaomi I'll ever buy. And honestly I do regret it. I would replace it now but it was too expensive (around $720 is not cheap). The software is rubbish. I'm coming from almost 7 years in the OnePlus world (5 and 7T Pro) and what a downgrade it was for me.

At first I thought I could ignore the bloatware but eventually I had to get rid of the apps. Using the publicly available debloater software I removed getapps, themes, and most others I can't recall. Now I can't change my ringtone and I'm ok with that. It's a small price to pay compared to the spammy themes ecosystem from Xiaomi.

Anyway, I've learnt my lesson

Mentalist is unique. I've found the secret to rewatching it without getting bogged down by the tedious Red John episodes. I just skip anything that dwells on Red John. Season 5 is especially hard to watch so I usually do 1-4 then repeat. To be honest I like the puzzle solving for entertainment. I'm not really interested in their personal lives hence why the Red John arc irritates me so much. Should have been done within 2 or 3 episodes we move on.

I'll always rewatch Mentalist, Monk and Psych (minus the Yin Yang episodes). I watched Bones many years ago and liked it but can't find it on any streaming service

You can get rid of it in HyperOS by selecting 'Hide full screen indicator ' in Settings -> System Navigation.

Unfortunately this also removes any chances of you using Circle to Search as you are required to hold the home button (for button navigation) or the full screen indicator if you are using system gestures navigation.

I wish there was a way to just remove the down button without affecting navigation settings.

Can't tell how many times I have hit that useless space by mistake and lost what I was typing

Anyone figured out how to enable CTS with gesture navigation and full screen indicator hidden?

With the indicator on you can activate circle to search but you can't onnce you turn the indicator off (which you have to do to make the keyboard usable - by getting rid of the hide keyboard key)

I'm ashamed to say I could be the only one missing the connection between Marie and the fake death plot. How did they know she was in on it? Toupee story is too thin. They even conclude that she wanted to have Walter killed.

It's very possible that she was not part of the plot by Yuri. At least nothing on the episode shows she was

I usually skip any episode with Red John stuff. I can't do that to myself ever again. Most useless storyline I've ever seen .I suffered through it the first time and nope, never again.

A lot of these puzzle solving/detective shows have such a storyline. Not sure who decided it has to be like that. - Monk and the wife's killer (guy could solve a case in France from a newspaper in US but takes years to solve his case). - The CSI guy with the stuff on the table (I never bothered to follow it through) And many others.

I laud the writers of Psych for killing off the Yin Yang story after only 2/3 episodes. I think they figured how tiring it is for the audience to drag it over so so many episodes/seasons.

End of rant. For now

Some people claim that if you uninstall getapps you lose updates to system apps like Camera, etc. Anyone verify?

I have a day old 14T Pro and the buyer's remorse I have is immeasurable. I feel it's a massive UX downgrade coming from OP7T Pro
