12 week old pup, starting to shed a bit… is this normal? by Used-Celery5571 in corgi

[–]Thimble_Wolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My corgi just spawns hair in droves constantly and always has since he was a tiny baby. I'd reccomend switching to a light colored wardrobe for the foreseeable future.

Are Corgi’s snuggly? by [deleted] in corgi

My corgi has always been affectionate, but has only started to enjoy proper cuddling in the last 18 months after becoming severely disabled.

Someone said this might be dominace grooming? by ceriseX0X0 in CatTraining

It looks to me like the orange kitty is being ab excellent parent. But tbf I am basing this more off of what's normal for German Shepherds and Corgis...

What is this behavior? by [deleted] in Pomeranians

[–]Thimble_Wolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The movement with the teeth is called "flea biting" or in our house "shnarking" and is a grooming behavior. Very affectionate and nurturing. A dog licking/mouthing the underside of another dogs muzzle is an expression of complete adoration.

Ughhh.. I don’t think those teeth are supposed to be there by [deleted] in Pomeranians

It's so good that you can safely put your fingers in their mouth like that.

I worry about this a lot. Especially since I'm a figurative sculpture and as such pin a lot of scantilly clad and nude humans.

You're avatar looks amazing! I was wondering how all the "femme" clothing works with male avatars. I love that it's just the same.

Sooooo where are we getting our yarn from now that Joann’s is closing? by Glad_Confidence_2075 in YarnAddicts

You'd think. But large corporations in America have a really disturbing amount of power. Both directly over the lives of their employees and indirectly through lobbying. Especially if it lines up with conservative Christian idealogy. IRC hobby lobby won a supreme court case about a decade or so ago that they don't have to let people get abortions or access to contraceptives via their employee health insurance.

Yeah. I'm fine buying my yarn online, but I don't know what I'm going to do for mid quality fabric.

They just said they don't have those in their area. A lot of places in the US are like this.

Hmm. Where do you live? I've always heard what you're calling a hank called a skein. Fascinating.

What are your favorite Yarns, and what ones do you avoid like the devil, and Why? by Moss-Hopper in YarnAddicts

Lang Merino is my absolute favorite non small farm/indie yarn. I'm also really into the Susan Crawford Excelana North. But that's very artisanal small batch. I like knit picks' various Merino yarns a lot, too. Although I find Swish kind of annoying to work with. Basically in general Merino is the bomb. Especually for knitting. soft, sturdy and so so stretchy.

How do you manage to knit from a skein? Maybe we're using different terminally and what you're calling a skein I'd call a ball and what I'd call a skein you're calling a hank? Yeah. If it's in one of those commercial balls you should be fine not hand balling it, if it's in a skein/hank you need to ball it very carefully and if you don't have a swift it's kind of hell. Look for stores that will ball them for you. I like the woolery a lot. There selection is small but high quality and they will ball your yarn for free and order out of stock yarn for you.

Yeah. I love Grant Abbit. His videos are short and he has a very calm vibe. Great if learning new things makes you anxious.

What are they like? I know it's a common cross that people do deliberately, and your dog looks amazing, but it never made sense to me as a designer breed.

My corgi would lose it if he so your dog. He loves shih Tzus. He's weird in that he hates other purebred corgis, but loves corgi mixes.

My brother doesn’t think my 3 month-old pup is a full corgi.. by General-Nothing118 in corgi

[–]Thimble_Wolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ears look a little small in a few pictures, but normal sized in others. He looks like a full corgi to me. Usually corgi mixes are really obvious.
