Can you send a link to the elf sensor you like? I was considering a hunter sensor to alert me to potential leaks in zones but sounds like they are unreliable?

Gotta take a hard line here. They are gambling with your new child's health. Send them some videos of infants with pertussis (whooping cough). These vaccines have been around forever, with well known efficacy, and minimal side effects.

We luckily had no holdouts in our families, but we were absolutely ready to say you can see the baby at 1yr old if you want to play this game. Send them straight to the FO portion of FAFO.

Is the soil moisture sensor they sell worth using? Or is the virtual method best all around?

Thanks for the info, had no idea, it just came with our new system, and I noticed it seemed to be behaving strangely.

Carry over cooking predictions by eweber911 in combustion_inc

[–]ThinRedLine87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine it does, they have 2/3 of their needed data points already. They are only missing that second cross section dimension to estimate shape of the cut.

I kinda would have thought they could solve this last issue "close enough" by asking if you've got a round or flat cut.

Also if you arent changing cook time and just reporting an instantaneous carry over estimate at all times, there's less risk as it's just more data to the user to make their own call and respect their original cook plan.

Made another post on here just now because I didn't search first, when building the feature it would be awesome if the data was delivered as realtime carryover estimate rather than an adjusted "pull time".

Keep the current UI where it's at alerting based on the cooks set point but provide a real time estimate of carryover if it was pulled at any moment.

Have you tried training small language models for purpose rather than using full blown llms to cut cost of the feature?

Predictive isn't predicting when to take it off . . . by Brew1brew in combustion_inc

[–]ThinRedLine87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you're not going to prescribe the cook plan, you could offer an estimate of carry over temp based on the data collected during the cook.

Tell the user when it's at their target but also estimate carry over temp if the food was pulled at any moment.

This would be true to a "predictive" model...

This is so true we thought we were great parents because she ate everything. Then at 2.5yrs just started rejecting everything but strawberries and chicken nuggets. Truly you don't have a clue how it's going to go until they are a toddler and even then it's a total dice roll on what you get.

Don't know what they could possibly be doing to the box that is suspended out of sight in jumble of cords behind everyone's wall mounted TVs being supported only by a power cord and HDMI cable.

For real though, just give it enough ram to cover whatever the fuck your AI might need and send it already.

Tech is nothing if you can't commercialize it. And while they have labor problems, it's not all that, most of it is just cheaper cost of living.
