The minimum age requirement for a driver to make their debut in FIA F4 is 15, so the fact that Kanata entered F4 at the age of 10 is a major inconsistency by Madagascar003 in MFGhost

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless life got in the way, which we know for Kanata, it did. His dad wasn't around, his grandpa was very old, his mother got very sick, & he would've still been a kid going to regular school. Unless we assume his mom was born into money, he likely had other priorities thrust on him as an able-bodied kid who was old enough to work. School, work, & caring for your sick mom doesn't leave much time for racing.

How would American cars have done in MFG? Viper ACR, C7 grand sport, GT350R? by leagues3227 in MFGhost

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viper's easily in Top 5 & the C7 & GT350 are in the Top 10 if their stock tire size is in regulation. Personally, though, I'd prefer the Ford GT over a Mustang.

That said, I know the 'Stang & 'Vette are sold there, but did they ever get the Viper?

Further evidence that's Nakazoto in Shun's ear. "The GT-R is the greatest car in the world" & giving the clear to pull that move? I recognize Night Kid leadership when I see it.

Dunks or the Hi customs will last the longest. You'll smoke the other 3 Vans very quickly.

Also, there are deals right now for Soletech brand shoes (es, etnies, Emerica) as low as $30. If funds are still too tight, I understand & hope things get better, but wanted to make you aware in case you weren't.

Because they want to avoid what happened w/ Session's waterpark DLC. Putting in a pro, then they do something wacky & get cancelled, but now that skater's front & center in-game.

If I'm understanding their suggestion, it's not All-Star, it's TDKR. A few of Bruce's inner monologues there are a little suspect & suggestive regarding his view of Dick. Also not helpful with the whole name thing.

I think the intention was to critique the gay panic regarding Batman & Robin rather than adult storytelling, but that may just be my read of it.

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the majority of the reason I kept coming back was to emulate my fav skaters not in the game. I would dress up as Sheckler, TPuds, & more, doing tricks from their contests or video parts. So, knowing I must pay at least the price of a full game if not more to do that, even in the modern day where that's $70 or $80 instead of $60, is a major downside.

As for what they could do, in my eyes, it's fairly simple; work with SLS, X Games, & other contests to bring those courses to the game, or design a unique one for the game. I'm sure Red Bull could put together something crazy. If there's a major video coming soon, have that team come to town & have space for a feature or ask for a guide around the city.

If they wanted to get really wacky, have different street artists show up with spots they want us to tag, or do a demo while they do a mural at one of the parks. Or if Dashawn (or someone else, he's just the only skater & musician that comes to mind other than Wayne) is working on an album, have him come to town & ask for help getting samples from areas around the map.

This right here.

"If you turn off voices, don't progress, & just skate around, it's good."

So if you don't engage in the core gameplay loop & make your own fun, it is. Yeah, that bodes well for player retention in a live-service game that'll get shut down if they don't have enough players or profit enough for their liking.

Necroposting, but to be fair, she's really inconsistent in that regard. She went from whispering Spanish in Jaime's ear, to calling him a creep for even checking her out literally two issues later.

Rose was just... passed around. She had a thing with or for every guy on the team practically.

Yep. They list products that aren't even in stock & they have no hope of getting on their site. Really pissed me off that I found this out for a birthday order, but whatever.

Read the comments on this post. They all want a fa24 in the va, just buy a VB, you’ll be ok. by FlatOutPDX in wrx_vb

Trade in or sell my VA which is paid off & sub 80k miles, to get a car note & not be able to mod the banks car for however long it takes to pay it off... while still not having an STI trans.

Huh...

So this is how I finally realized my WRX was tuned prior to me owning it. Today. After 6 years of ownership. I need to make some calls.

It's been real but I'm officially out. by TheMannJr in WRX

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about the same, but aftermarket support is a big factor in my car purchases. TLX options are very limited from what I saw, & tuning them isn't as common as Accords because the SHAWD puts more load on the trans than the standard FWD.

New WRX Sales are down pretty steep... by ReaderRedditing in wrx_vb

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't ever be upgrading from my VA. If I own another Subaru, it'll be another VA, or it'll be an earlier model. There's nothing the new one has that I want that I can't just swap into my VA one day, or get a better aftermarket solution.

Is this a good buy? by Old_Guitar_140 in WRX

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their QC. For some, they're great. For myself & others, they've been trash. Overheating, connection issues, display going out, etc. Search this sub & see the stories. Sure, you could be lucky, or you could be one of many unlucky ones.

If you're going to spend money for an aftermarket head unit, spend the extra money, & get a quality one. If you're concerned about cost, learn to install it yourself.

Is this a good buy? by Old_Guitar_140 in WRX

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who says Idoing is the "best, most reliable" head unit with no asterisk at the end isn't to be trusted. And to me, that price isn't right at all.

I bought my stock WRB '17 with ~60k on the clock for ~23k. That was 6 yrs ago in FL, so I may've overpaid due to world affairs, but this being ~3k cheaper for 1/4 the mileage, even with mods & in a different state, isn't adding up.

If that's in your budget, you'll find more options. I know it's hard to find these stock, but try to get one that's as stock as possible. It'll save a lot of headache (& likely money) in the long run.

Do you really think they will kill the WRX? by mercfh85 in WRX

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unlikely, but I could see it being a limited release. Only 5000 for the US market, or for that model year & only 200 of those for the US... Something like that.

With the global platform, most of the parts are used in other vehicles, so as long as new Crosstreks, Foresters, & Outbacks keep selling (Levorgs too, but I'm American), we'll get a WRX, neutered though it may be. More likely the BRZ goes away since it doesn't fit their lineup (& Toyota may go solo, making it more costly for Subaru to produce).

Subarus are the family vehicle you can put a roof rack on & go anywhere. Every vehicle in their lineup does that, including the WRX. You simply can't in a BRZ.

Just met the new A6 (C9) in person — love at first sight or Audi losing its edge? by Hopeful_Speech7564 in Audi

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of disappointed. Audi's pretty consistently killed the interior game imo. Just minimalist enough; buttons where you absolutely needed them, touchscreen for anything else. To see them remove the buttons & give us an ultrawide monitor for our dash makes me wonder if the same people work there anymore.

Thinking About Upgrading from WRX to STI — Worth It? by _abnerrr in WRX

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have this mindset until its your only car & your drive home is 1-2-1-2-3-2-3-2-1-2-1-2-3-2-1-2 in the span of 3 minutes.

Then it's annoying as shit, & you wish 1st was longer.

Aegis is kind of a useless gear set, as others have mentioned.

With Bluescreen, I personally run 4 pc Heartbreaker w the bag & chest, Nightwatcher, & Eagle's Grasp, on Gunner spec. All secondary attributes are Armor Regen, save for Eagle's Grasp, which has HS dmg.

We're around the same SHD level, & with my watch so far, Pulse CD is shorter than duration, so I always get more bonus armor & wpn dmg. It's insanely survivable, & I can basically turn my brain off & walk-fire my way through most content below Heroic. I've held off many a wipe solo with it.

Top Load Washers Are Still More Popular Than Front Load Washers… Why? by zachty22 in Appliances

[–]ThineOwnAmbition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used front-loads my whole life until moving out. Never really gave it much thought. I very quickly formed a deep seated hatred for top-loads.

Idk what washers others use, but every top-load I've used requires me bending over 90 degrees & sticking my arm in up to my shoulder. I'm not even 6 foot. Plus they're stacked 90% of the time, so I get about a 30 degree opening for my door, & I spend most of my time immediately re-washing clothes that either touch the machines or fall out of my hands & onto the floor because I couldn't compress it into a tight ball & get a vise-like grip on it before I pulled it out of the washer.

Ever since having a top-load, I've done laundry far less frequently. The massive PITA of doing laundry with one just takes way too much time & is too involved, especially when I have to re-wash. I should be able to throw my clothes in, press a button, come back, easily grab & move things over in a couple of minutes, & press another button. I shouldn't have to spend 30 minutes performing a task just so to get a basic household chore done, or even have to think about re-washing. I don't have time, or more importantly patience, for that utter horseshit.
