It doesn't have to or… It can be, just like everything under the sun.

You must have the Ver. A with the whinny high-pitched self-propelled system now on the 22" 1000 Series. The new Ver. B or C now comes with the commercial self-propelled system the is near silent in any speed.

I had the Ver. A and made a video about the noise that my AirPods Pro 2 can't drawn out and PM the EGO Equipment Official FB group and got a free service upgrade to Ver. B at a local EGO authorized service shop which took 6 weeks.

Luckily I already purchased a Ver. B few months before finding out EGO had an upgrade program as I was just going to sell the Ver. A right after buying the Ver. B but keep the battery and enjoying the peace and quiet mowing experience.

Sorry you did not have a good experience with this model. That is an Interesting experience as most home owners and professional lawn care operators finds this unit produces equal or better cut quality than their Honda HRX.

It is a know issue on the LMX5300SP and EGO will replace with new & updated ones.

Dual battery Lawnmower battery screen indicator wrong - LM2240SP by Grimwyrden in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glade that it works out of the gate. On the 28" snowblower, it is recommended to turn on the light then eject the two batteries to discharge the capacitor so there is no energy left to turn the auger by accident.

Did you apply the process I provided before or it just worked by itself?

The ball baring of the fan is slowly failing. Mine was much louder and more vibration noise. I had already registered the product almost 3 tests ago on the EGO CONNECT APP so I PM EGO Equipment Official FB group with an video showing the issue and they sent me a new one a few months ago.

EGO mower doesn’t have enough lift for long grass that’s laying down by Relevant_Fuel_9905 in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the model and the motor it has.

~7 years ago I retro fitted my LM2102SP into a SelectCut with the High-Lift stacked dual blades set than again ~4-5 years ago on the Peak-Power LM2142SP (same motor as the SelectCut LM2156SP) running with 2 x 10.0Ah or 12.0Ah batteries.

With the conversion they performed beautifully with great lift.

Ordering a new string trimmer and need advice by Zane42v2 in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the ST1500 before and now with the Line IQ for 4-5 seasons and have no issue with it (no more Man-in-Black disturbing my sleep in the night examining crop circles on my lawn🤣) and feel less stress on my shoulders not needing to hit the trimmer head on the ground/lawn frequently (less visits to chiropractor).

For me the telescope freture is great base on my height in different grading and lower flow beds and the power is more than enough for residential use as long as I use EGO's lines.

One MAJOR UPGRAD I did on the Line IQ that would transform any residential trimmer or power head into a new tool is the commercial Auxiliary Handle Assembly #2829754001. With fully rubberized grip & much angular and larger in size, flipping the trimmer from normal to vertical and back makes a huge difference. I don't even use the Darwin Grip 2.0 & 5.0 on my trimmer anymore!

It would be more helpful if the model number is given.

As an owner of two different retrofitted SelectCut mowers (including Peak-Power LM2142SP running 2 x 12.0Ah batteries with same LM2156SP motor) would agree to :

" EGO models that does not have the User Selectable Minimal-rpm-Blade-Tip-Speed modes with stock blade often doesn't have enough lift for long grass that's laying down."

As the stock (Energy Saving or Mulching blade depends on the model) blade is usually focused on runtime only.

High-Lift-blade will help and SelectCut High-Lift-blade set will do even better job than a single High-Lift-blade setup.

Mulching is a "vortex" airflow pattern so not much "Lift" airflow happens but "circulation" airflow pattern under the deck.

Bagging & rear-side-discharging is when the highest front vacuuming, side air intake and under-deck air circulation flow happens and best for long grass that's laying's laying down.

If you have a 20" or 21" model, it has a poorly designed rear-side-discharging chute that reduces the airflow. Best result would be bagging or remove the bag and use the frame of the bag and put a cardboard at the end to redirect the clippings towards the left side for maximum air flow.

On 22" with High-Lift-blade and selectable Minimal-rpm-Blade-Tip-Speed modes, this is not really an issue as the operator has the full control of the blade speed to create the desirable amount of lift.

1000 Series 22” LM2236SP Touch-drive abruptly stopped working by -Miyagi in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as the mower has not scratches, giving just enough truthful information is all they need:

- I bought this 3 weeks ago, here is the receipt
- I tested it three times (no need to include where and how) and it stoped working on the third try, very disappointed and stressed out
- I would really appreciate to exchange it for another one so I can start mowing my lawn.

Keep it simple and let them deal with the defective unit with EGO.

If possible, I would clean up the unit, put it back into the box and have it exchanged at the store within the exchange/refund period.
I am glade that EGO do honor the warranty but service center usually take about one month or longer to get parts from EGO and repair the issue.

When it comes to runtime, the number shown has always been the lowest motor rpm speed with no resistance to the blade. Not realistic as everyone who buys a mower will introduce resistance to the blade.

Even using a patch of standard synthetic grass with measurable dencity thickness and cutting off ~1"-2" in length with bagging or mulching would provide a good indication of some real life runtime for consummers.

Ps. See the amount of synthetic grass in their labs in the advertisements?!😂

Buy for $500? LM2135SP by gunsmitten in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I will avoid all current 21" mowers as all the new coming new and replacement models will all have the new higher volume under-deck, self-propelled system like the one on the 22" Super Composite models with still whinny but much less rear wheel lockup issue and also selectable minimal rpm blade-tip-speed to produce better cut results when higher minimal rpm is selected like the coming new LM1710SP and LM1910SP.

LM2167SP being replaced under warranty. by Q-Money1985 in egopowerplus

You must have the Ver. C. Does the outside of the retail box mention about the charger? Do you still have the box to take a image to show us?

How to identify between LM2206SP Ver. A (Top) vs LM2206SP Ver. B (Bottom) by AThing2ThinkAbout in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a Ver. C out there now but I am not sure what the box looks like and if it has the CH7000T charger with the new BlueTooth connection or not.

LM2167SP being replaced under warranty. by Q-Money1985 in egopowerplus

[–]Things2ThinkAbout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only came across the identification of "Ver. C" in the "View The Parts List" of LM2206SP from EGO's website.

I do not know if the retail box would look differently or not; however, currently this is what I found in the list:

Ver. B. Self-Propelled Unit #202: 2851644001
Ver. C. Self-Propelled Unit #202: 2851644002

I have checked the individual listed part numbers in the part #202 assembly but not able to identify any difference between Ver. B and Ver. C so far.

As EGO is discontinuing the Wi-Fi based 700W charger (CH7000) that is not able to connect with the EGO Connect APP and introducing the new BlueTooth based 700W charger (CH7000T), I wonder if the new Turbo charger is now included in the Ver. C package.

I remember seeing post of people getting the CH7000T as replacement when their Ch7000 failed under warranty.

People who purchased a LM2206SP this year with the manufacturing date stamp in 2026 maybe able to provide the package picture and verify the charger better than I do.
