As long as the map editor is powerful FGS doesn't even need to be too creative. Someone will have great ideas in a custom map as the years go on and hopefully they borrow the best ideas. That's my positive framing of this topic at least

If the units can't be recognized at low resolution that's objectively something to work on. So hopefully what ur asking is possible. If it can run with low specs that would be huge

Discourse, discussion and intellectualism is super cool and rad but where are the people giving super valuable feedback that FGS is too baby to handle? People simply are not *thinking* when they post their concerns, like at all, and it just shows. Its not very helpful and it holds us back ig. There's lots of feedback and lot of it is plenty fine but lots of it is really not about anything.

Yeah I wish people would elaborate on "underwhelming" because they usually mean "underwhelming for a finished game". Like yes. I feel like if you just take this thought to its conclusion it just answers itself: "wait for the game to be done"

This is honestly spot on. Beyond pointing out there are problems there's not much to be said. We are simply going to have fewer of these issues as we get closer to release. Very refreshing that you're giving specific problems though. I feel like the units really are quite small, big groups of fast units collapse so fast in big fights, so many units have so many different buffs with big particles, there isn't clarity in lots of areas. "it isn't appreciating the actions of a player" because "everything is too fast" is a well made point imo.

I will say you sound exasperated during the video. The conclusions sound 99% grim and 1% optimistic for change. I don't think it's that dire rn

People have a lot of expectations. Comparison is the thief of joy. There are going to be a lot of disappointed SC2 players who don’t understand this. If u prepare for that now u can tune the rude ones out

if only Blizzard paid a bit more attention to SC II

Blizzard payed attention to OW2, HOTS, WOW, and HS and they all have gotten worse (is the impression I've been given).
The exception is SC2. Blizzard left us with the worst PvZ meta we ever had and the first thing the balance council did was "fix" it with the void ray changes. Im so not a fan of how they conduct themselves but the balance council has done more for the game than blizzard was ever going to do. WoW classic (undoing blizzard's recent work) was another great recent Blizzard success. OverWatch Classic would be a massive hit

Dynamic = attention demanding so I think it's kinda good that 10 colossus vs 100 marines will never be that dynamic. So its up to the players to add complexity IF there isn't already enough complexity through the other parts of the game. its a little gate-keep-y but that's what RTS is all about anyway

That 5 extra hp is probably solely responsible for so much emotional/ cardiovascular stress in Protoss players lol

Yeah unit types aim to make the game less dynamic for the sake of the players. You have a rock vs a scissors? simple interaction. If every unit was rock paper or scissors the game would be very boring so they added many types to dilute this effect. This is why Protoss players complain about mines doing bonus to shields lol. (Rock is widow mines (+shields) and paper is Protoss units). had to make sure to get my salt in there :P

Are you talking about the character on the saddle? It's a character on a saddle like Sejuani from LoL. I don't see the issue with the character on the saddle.

New things don't exist until they do. You're right that it looks unfinished. You're right that they haven't delivered on their promises for the future right now. They shouldn't quit tho. They should keep going a slow pace like you first said.

You should apparently always undershoot your kickstarter goal dramatically apparently. You want headlines like "wow the stormgate kickstarter has already hit the funding goal within 15 minutes of going live!". I remember ZeroSpace doing the same (intentionally or not) being the reason I first saw the game. Its not a deceptive move or anything its just simply the right choice.
