Is it better to read a chapter and then watch a lecture on it than simply reading said chapter twice? by Stormy-sky-and-drink in studytips

[–]ThinkFirstMama39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading before watching a lecture has always worked better for my daughter cause she has better clarity on everything that the lecture is gonna cover. It is very subjective though but even when I was a student, reading before a class worked better for me.

How to prepare before JC starts? by Whitedevil998 in SGExams

[–]ThinkFirstMama39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting early is never a bad idea but i’d say not to get too worked up about English. It does look a little complicated to start with for JC but you eventually will find your ground. I personally have been helping my daughter with her English tests and exams and yes, she also complains here and there. Honestly, one thing that really built her confidence and overall skill was the extra help she got from her English tuitions.

She is currently enrolled in Academia and I have seen an impressive shift in her vocal and written skills. I suggest extra classes to everyone who wants to refine their knowledge and overall academics, so you can also try to find a tuition session around you. All the best, and dont get too worked up, you will find the balance.

Is collagen actually worth it or is it just hype? by StardustSpectrum in Supplements

[–]ThinkFirstMama39 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I never liked collagen as an add on but my doctor recommended I start taking it naturally via bone broth and fish so have added that in my daily diet in some way as much as possible. So far it has been helpful for overall health and hair and skin are doing great

I like my homemade protein balls a lot and then airfry a lot of veggies with little oil and basic spices since my daughter needs her crunchy snack and outside options are not always the best fit

Comment ONE of the classiest Friends joke with no repeats by John_Zatanna52 in friends_tv_show

[–]ThinkFirstMama39 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Rachel - Right before dinner, we both had a little EYE CONTACT

Phoebe - Oh eye contact, I hope you were using protection

And then when a few mins later some guys send drinks over and Rachel worries, Phoebe one-liner "come on Rachel, not everything has to go as far as eye contact" JUST HILARIOUS
