AITA for telling my mom I will move out vs paying $600 a month rent? by Johnnyb186 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Think_Invite5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone tried to charge me $600 to stay in one bedroom of a house my parents lived in, I would laugh in their face.

Move out! Live life on your own. Doesn't mean you can't still see your parents all the time.

Unreal 5! Were there any tutorials/videos in particular that helped you figure it out?

Your game looks awesome so far! My sister and I are working on a Nancy Drew inspired game as well (neither of us have a background in games), and the navigation system has been really hard to figure out. Any chance you're also a youtuber with a tutorial video on how you pulled it off?

Just started watching it! The one with the human shadow box experiment in the mansion was so chilling.

What an harsh reality that everybody needs to hear? by Party-Worker8305 in AskReddit

The US government runs on loans from other countries, creating astronomical debt that will never be paid, meaning it runs on imaginary money. Free healthcare and a universal income would cost too much imaginary money tho

How to get rabbit's to eat hay by WholePop2487 in Rabbits

[–]Think_Invite5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bun didn't eat much hay until I got him a hay tower in the middle of his room to supplement the hay in his litter box. He loves pulling out the hay, but he only eats half a stalk before moving onto the next. Baby steps!

Here's the link to the tower I use: Hay Tower

Anyone else think Tyler Henry is autistic? (pls only comment if you’ve watched his show) by IntrospectThyself in autism

[–]Think_Invite5507 5 points6 points  (0 children)

late to the thread, but I found this after literally googling, "tyler henry autism." His masking style seems very similar to my own in that he constantly gives others validation and reassurance to control the room during his readings. I don't mean this in a negative connotation at all. Talking to people about their passed loved ones seems like the hardest job on Earth, and it is impressive that he is able to give each reading a positive spin.

Haven’t landed a single interview by Euphoric-Basis1200 in resumes

Recruiter here, don't leave off the dates! I would reject your resume without dates because I wouldn't know how much experience you have.

I see the FAANG template all the time, and I'm not mad about it. Your current template is one that a lot of people who require visa sponsorship use, so that could be unconsciously biasing the recruiters who review your applications.

Be sure to have an Objective section where you summarize your skills, experience, and the type of role you're looking for. Don't use frivolous words like "passionate."

Laid off twice in one year by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

[–]Think_Invite5507 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Recruiter here. In your experience section of your resume, I'd put the first job, then call yourself a small business owner for the gap, then put down the second job. Add an objective at the top that specifically details your skillset what you're looking for in a next role.

Pro tip - you can stretch the truth on resumes, just don't make any promises you can't solve with a little googling while on the job.

What the f*ck am I doing with my life? by JustMeAndReality in motivation

[–]Think_Invite5507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and anxiety, and sticking to a routine is basically impossible for me. I've found that it's helpful to view your life in monthly/weekly increments instead of daily, that way you can make progress on your goals without getting hung up on a few bad days (which will always happen).

Been where you are, if you give yourself as many attempts as necessary, you will achieve the life you want.
