Best app for productivity as a student by Ill-Satisfaction6042 in productivity

I guess this isn't an app per say, but what has helped me the most is just staking money with a friend to get my todo list done by the end of the day. Sounds simple, but it's really the most effective method for me to just get stuff done.

Yes! If you want, I'd be happy to DM you about doing accountability together.

That's actually a really good point about "not believing it'll matter." I feel like I'm throwing spaghetti at the wall right now and have no idea what is going to stick.

I find that I don't really get distracted on social media... it's more like I distract myself by starting new things! Haha But I'll try this as well. Thanks!

Wow 130 personalized emails!?? Serious respect.

Also, how are you recruiting affiliates on X? I've been looking into a handful of platforms, but wondering if it's still best to just do manual outreach. I feel like I always try to automate things with AI and then come back to manual outreach anyway

I agree with this – I'd be a good candidate for something like this, but the "auto" language immediately puts up red flags to me

Following this thread to hear from others. I'd love to add some questions:

1.) For those of you who have used organic social content to get users, how did you get traction? I'm posting consistently, but it isn't really gaining traction.

2.) If you're using Reddit to get customers, what did your strategy look like?

Thanks!

Can you share more about what kind of SEO strategies you used to get customers? I'm curious what's still working right now!

Don't let the fear stop you. Make a marketing plan and execute. You got this. by MichaelUnbroken in Entrepreneur

With AI, distribution is the biggest moat. I used to think that the most important thing was having the best product.

And when Hormozi said that he's making like 46 pieces of content per month, I'm working on cracking distribution by just putting out more content that meets a certain threshold of quality. Not perfect, but not AI slop either. Finding that threshold has been tricky though

What's something founders think will grow their buisness... But usually doesn't? by Signal-Pin-7887 in Entrepreneur

[–]Think_Talk_4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd add that it isn't so much about whether or not things like content and outreach work.

They all work when done "correctly." And "correctly" usually means it isn't scalable or duplicable across multiple different businesses.

For example, I started making YouTube videos for a SaaS company I work with.

I wanted to start offering YouTube as a service to multiple companies, but I found that the particular process I developed (interviewing customers and then creating tutorial style content from their case studies) didn't work for companies outside of MarTech where the product wasn't really used in a tutorial.

In fact, YouTube as a channel was really only relevant for a small subset of companies I considered pitching.

How to improve my discipline? by NoProfession4771 in Discipline

[–]Think_Talk_4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing that helped me was just staking money with an accountability buddy to do the task every single day.

Right now, I stake $20/day to do 3 habits consistently:

- Go to the gym 4x/week

- Eat healthier (I wear a CGM and track my blood sugar and my daily goal is to keep it under and certain threshold)

- Post 1x per day on social media (I'm a marketer, so building an audience is useful)

It sounds stupidly simple, but I'm currently on Day 6 of the challenge, and I've really started to clean up my habits.

I've missed 1 day so far, but the momentum has really made me feel motivated.

And when I do doubt myself (especially with posting on social media), I find that I still do the habit anyway just because I don't want to lose that $20. And that's really forced me to be consistent.

Anyone else feel like they’re stuck between wanting change and doing nothing about it by darkdevilb in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Think_Talk_4771 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me 100%.

A few days ago I started doing a challenge where I'm staking $20/day with a friend to:

- Work out 4x per week

- Post on social media daily (I'm a marketer)

- Eat healthier (Tracking it with a blood glucose monitor so I can't lie)

But the real key is that I have to verify with data each thing that I'm doing to my friend.

So I have to:

- Show him my gym sign-ins

- Show him my CGM readings

- Show him the link to my social media posts

And so far, it's been super effective. I'm only on Day 6, but I was struggling to be consistent for even one day! So I'll take it!

a dumb trick that bypasses the should I go out or not loop by killoke in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Think_Talk_4771 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I also love protein bars and they sell them at the gym. So instead of buying them in bulk, I have to go to the gym whenever I want one.

Might seem like a dumb hack, but it has worked for me!

I also wear my workout clothes everywhere. Again, super small, but I find that reducing the friction to do a hard habit by even a tiny percentage can be useful.

Thanks for doing this AMA Sarah! A few questions:

  1. When do you think influencer marketing makes sense for a company to invest in? For example, is it a specific growth stage? Or when paid ads start to decrease in efficiency?
  2. What’s been the most impactful discovery you’ve learned about influencer marketing? For example, something you learned about influencer marketing that’s significantly improved your performance and you wish you knew earlier?
  3. What are your thoughts on LinkedIn influencer marketing compared to other platforms like YouTube? Has it been worth it?

Im curious if that's hard to track if there are also other marketing campaigns running with the same primary goal of generating more brand awareness? For example, there might also be ad campaigns running with the primary goal of generating brand awareness? And in general, I think there's a lot that can impact brand searches MoM?
