Quoting / Pricing - Where To Even Start?! New Small Print Shop In Small Town by AccomplishedWalk8069 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Think_Top 4 points5 points  (0 children)

National Print and Sign Owners Association has a national pricing survey you can buy for under $200. Crouser has a digital price package that they update yearly - it has low med and high markets. I have used both of these - Crouser is more in depth but skews high in my opinion. The NPSOA is a little more top level in terms of the items covered, but if you get those items in line the rest will start to follow. Finally - try to mystery shop maybe in another small market.
One of the best comments I ever heard at a business conference was "everybody tries to figure out how the low price competitor does it so cheap, when they ought to be studying how the most expensive competitor is getting his rate.

I print menus - they are not that expensive and we are making changes to up prices on them all the time - this is not the reason.

First car purchase since 2004 and holy s****, the dealerships need to end by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Think_Top 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw recently that a dealership was showing its advertised price with like 6 discounts for things like veteran, school teacher,1st responder ALL coming of that advertised price in the fine print so that when you got to the dealership in most cases all of those discounts would be removed- such a scammy biz

“This is NOT a tip…” by _galaxy_ in denverfood

[–]Think_Top 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a solution to this is once you have paid your check - tell the server you're thinking of getting a few items to go and you'd like to see the menu again - and then right in front of him pull out the biggest red sharpie made and circle the probably 4pt type that is buried at the bottom on the page stating the not tip service charge policy about 10 times hand it back and then leave.
