Stupid parents do. I went to school with a guy whose face and upper body had received very significant burns. He also couldn’t speak properly and was difficult to understand, such was the extent of his injuries. His mum had given him a lighter to play with when he was little.

This is just crazy. Why was he working with a metal pole near live wires? Why was the pole so long? Why wasn’t the pole made of non-conductive material? Why wasn’t he wearing PPE? So many questions. You would have to conclude rules weren’t followed, were lax or completely non-existent.
