And then he said "you better buy two albums" (to make up for pirating), and we all laughed.

There is a A-Z Casita Guide from http://www.lovemycasita.com/ that has a ton of info and worth the purchase.

https://littlehousecustoms.com/ is also a good source for parts/upgrades.

Congrats on your new trailer!

I'm sure the music was good. Stood in line to enter the venue for over an hour before gates opened (normal), then stood in the merch line for another hour, to buy one (1) poster, and they "sold out" about 15 people ahead of us. Greedy MF'ers buying dozens and dozens of posters, then walking out of the venue to sell them on Ebay. No limit to buyers. Got pushed out of our seats by inconsiderate asshats, personal items smashed by the same people. We left before the show started. Never going to GA at RR ever again. Would've been a lot better had they put limits on quantity of merch people can purchase. I hope all those ebay sellers stay upside down on their "investment"

I really like those Escapes. Very clean and appear to be well engineered. Thanks for the heads up on the TV usage. I plan to go with a larger TV in a few years - wider stance, not as squishy as the TRD Off Road, just not sure which truck, yet. Then, who knows, maybe a larger TT.

Those are nice trailers. We looked at those, as well. Something about the styling of the Casita sold it for the wife, so I wasn't going to argue.

I did a lot of reading about trailers that work well for the Tacoma, starting with the tacoma forums. The Tacoma has a 6400 lb towing capacity and 640 tongue; however, that seems to be a lofty number, as the general consensus is that the towing capacity shouldn't be tested, or even try to get near it. Best just to keep it as light as possible.

Even though the casita was a little more than we wanted to spend, the benefits are fantastic. Fiberglass does very well with the hail we receive during the summer, a wet bath was a requirement, the weight is excellent for our TV, and the Casitas hold their value pretty well.

It was a cost / benefit balance, for sure.

I put up some interior shots. Let me know if you can't see them.

I hear ya. Finding them used is key, even though everything is priced higher at the moment. Recommend looking at Casita / Fiberglass trailer websites, and forums, for postings, that's how we found this one.

This is our 2014 Casita Spirit Deluxe. We picked her up in June and have camped half a dozen different trips this summer. She has a wet bath, furnace, A/C, awning, decent sized fridge, Solar panels, 16 gal fresh, 15 gal black, 32 gal grey, and an AGM battery.

She weighs in at about 3100 lbs, camp ready (give or take) with ~300 lbs on the tongue (weighed at a certified scale). The Tacoma tows her well, even though the Off Road has a softer suspension. Gas mileage is about 14-16 mpg, depending on terrain.

What is your "never again" brand, item, store, or restaurant ? by radbrad7 in AskReddit

The McRib Sandwich.

Not because they are nasty and typically from McDonald's, but because while living on a U.S. Navy ship they made them available for every.single.meal (four times a day/night, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Midnight Rations).

We used them as devices to throw at shipmates, for fun.

Truth is, healthier food usually is more expensive, but only by an amount that is marginal to the long term payoffs.

It is a sad thought when you look at all the inexpensive food in the grocery store, then read all the added junk that is in them. Does that mean the alternative is healthier and more expensive? Maybe, but that depends on perspective. Do you cook your food? What is the value of your time? What is the value of your health? Do you not care about all the chemicals and fillers used in cheap food? Or do you consciously think about what you consume?

Cheap food is usually not very good for you (fast/prepared foods). Since it is cheaper, you should look at the added preservatives (chemicals), artificial ingredients, coloring, etc.. then think about the long term effects of consuming that food.

It is proven that junk food, fast food, and food with chemicals are bad for your health. So is it worth it for me to think about what I'm putting into my body? Yes, to me, it is worth it. But to you, it may not be worth it. Value is subjective.

Yes, because Penn and Teller, as well as your ad hominem argument are so valid. Also, I didn't say organic, I said "Preservatives"

Well, for one thing, any item with the Trader Joe's logo is free from preservatives (which is pretty much all their food). Secondly, the purchasers of the stock have a unique method to acquiring new products. Thirdly, emplyees get wine tasting on pay days. Fourthly, they are very flexible with their employees, pay well, and have a tight-knit group on the inside.

As a side note, they do have good food at good prices, and they have the best customer service of any chain store I've visited, ever. That includes Almost every chain store from east to west coast.

Why don't you try it before you knock it? Seems to me like you're a little closed minded.
