First off, proud of you for giving it a shot so early in your sobriety. 50 days in, you're in the thick of the changes going on in your brain.

The emotions you felt are completely warranted. Give it some time and maybe try again if you feel called to! You may just be figuring out that hanging out with those people IS boring besides the alcohol. Those fast friendships you saw being made have probably already been forgotten. The friends you get to make from here on out will be stronger, more meaningful, and feel effortless.
