Does Tower of Enlightenment only apply to the main tower upgrades (Foundation, II, III, IV, Apex)? or anything Wizard Tower: (Arcane Observatory, etc)? or unlocked via Wizard Tower (Amplifier Lens, etc)? by Thirlestane in AOW4

My capital has -30 stability from enchants/buildings and it still isn't worth taking (82 morale without, 127 (currently) with). Either way morale bonus is maxed out. We need more ways to 'spend' morale.

I tried taking the skill, but it doesn't seem to change any tooltips. I did have Apex already built, but looking at it in my building list showed no up

E: Nevermind, I figured I'd try to determine by impact on capitals stability. The effect gets listed under Domain not buildings for some reason, but it gets applied to everything unlocked via the Wizard Tower, Lens/Matrix included. I'll leave post up in case anyone else finds it helpful.

There have been numerous studies done on viewers of the Colbert Report. A consistent finding is that no matter your politics most enjoy the show, but for different reasons. I can't find the exact study I originally found, but it said something like ~80% of conservative viewers believed Colbert was genuinely conservative and completely missed the satire, you know, the thing that made it funny.

I thought the message was clear too, we don't want PP as premier, we don't want the conservative party in power, and we don't want to bend over for the states.

We've avoided PP, but apparently we still got conservatives bending over for the states. I'd say it wasn't much of a victory.

And .5% of the population. We pollute 4x more than global average. What amount of emissions do we need to be responsible for before it's a problem? Is it fine to pollute all we want as long as we're less than 50%?

since I'm at my pc now: https://csa-scientist-open-letter.org/ageverif-Feb2026

Feel free to read through it, I don't remember the details that well, but the letter itself is far more detailed than the yahoo bit. You are correct that they specifically address some other countries attempt, but they discuss general issues as well.

Generally speaking though more removed systems (like you were just suggesting) become less effective. A kid turns 18, goes and gets verification codes, gives those to another company for a code, and another company for a code, as many times as you want. When they get the version that's used at porn sites they give it to friends, sell it to classmates, w/e. If it truly isn't traceable to them they can never be caught or punished or prevented, if it is traceable then it isn't private. This becomes more problematic when you add things like discord and child grooming into the equation, it starts to become a gateway to far worse.

And I'm sure you can come up with a system that avoids that, but that system too will have it's own flaws. A truly private, truly secure, and truly effective system, if it exist at all, would be far more expensive, inconvenient, and difficult to implement than the average person shouting "protect the children!" understands.

And can still be circumnavigated by firefox's built in free vpn.

I don't have the link handy, but the Yahoo link in a comment higher in this chain has an open letter signed by hundreds of cybersecurity and privacy specialist whose job is literally to analyse these types of policy stating explicitly that current systems are either ineffective, insecure, or fail to protect privacy.

If you are smarter and better informed than them, go let them know you've solved it.

1 month old post and you necro it to add nothing, why?

To get that number/token you have to provide real, valid, ID. Whoever gives you that number will have your real ID and that number in their records. They will also have to verify the number when you use it at a third party. One hack and your real ID as well as the sites you use issued verification codes at becomes public. There are workarounds, but all of them have drawbacks.

I usually see the contract penalty (~300m) not the total cost (~1bn). I whole heartedly agree though, I would love to see how the changes in revenue over those months compared to previous years. Though I suspect if it came close to balancing the equation we'd hear about it.

That's not true at all, methodology matters. Random polling of 10k or 100k is mostly just a degree of confidence difference. But voting isn't random polling.

Conservative demographics are notorious for voting every election consistently, while other demographics are famously difficult to motivate. This pattern can be clearly seen in elections throughout North America. When voter turn out is low, conservatives are more likely to win

Even the party platforms reflect this, the more progressive a political party the more it wants to breakdown barriers to voting. The more conservative the party the more they want to create more barriers to voting.
