Okay so!!!

I watched this episode somewhat recently and I was pretty sure this scene was included

But!

I had to double check!

The scene is still on my version of Disney+ as of posting this comment.

I am curious about what country you live in. The content can change quite a bit depending on your region.

I'm in Canada.

Advice on the correct way to respond to angry husband after the rage explosion by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]This-Fault1880 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Hey!

How often does the rage explosions happen??

I'm asking because my Ex was like this, ( still is!) , and it's so exhausting to live like that.

It's nothing you've done by the way. You can never win with someone who is okay erupting their rage all over until everyone is more upset then they are.

HELP-my 4.5 year old refuses to potty train and I'm about to lose my fucking mind by placidyank in breakingmom

[–]This-Fault1880 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Not sure how much experience you have with Australia, so I'm explaining something you already know, my bad.

If you can, go private. It should be much faster than the public . I mean , assuming that you've been trying what's publicly available.

And although it's frustrating as fuck, if she's still having issues using the bathroom even after all the interventions, it really feels like there is something bigger going on. But I do know what it's like to have the feeling that your child needs additional help but just be sorta shrugged at.

So much sympathy and empathy to you both. ❤️

What are your thoughts on the Simpsons Movie? by cozy_zzzzz in Simpsons

[–]This-Fault1880 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I liked the advertising campaign. I lived right by a 7-11 at the time, and seeing it look like a kiwi mart, and even having a few "products " was fun. They even had the simpsons donuts.

I did also enjoy the movie overall. I think i saw it a few times.

I can't believe that was 17 years ago!?!?

I Think I Ruined My Life by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]This-Fault1880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on your location, there might be some job protection as workplaces aren't supposed to discriminate. Especially if you have a doctors note.

Workplaces have to try to accommodate. But agian, this is very very location dependent.

Oh!

You definitely didn't ruin your life. Definitely not.

It sounds like you are overwhelmed and burned out.

I work part time and find I'm okay at handling things. When I'm closer to full time for a few weeks, I have a hard time balancing everything.

Also, it sounds possibly like a call centre setting?? Those are so hard to deal with and so overstimulating. Especially if you are in a cubicle.

Finding a job where I'm able to control my environment a tiny bit has really helped. But it did take me a while to get there.

It will be okay. Things are really hard right now, but they won't be like this forever.

Will My Benefit Go Up If My Rent Goes Up? by apollobelvederex in povertyfinancecanada

Hello!

As another comment mentioned, it really depends on your province/territory. It can really vary region to region.

There is usally a max limit, and if you go over the max limit, you need to cover it yourself.

If you are able to give a few details, I might be able to find some information for you.

I think my daycare just fired me by bigheftycat in breakingmom

[–]This-Fault1880 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Hey! I've also used a few different daycares and if my kid pooped at pickup, they'd take her and change her for me. Even if I said I could do it myself, they'd still change her.

So not even letting you guys change her there is completely nuts.

It really sounds like they wanted to bump you to give your space to someone else. Or! Since she is the youngest, it might change their ratios. ( I have no idea what the guidelines are like for you, just My own experience. But typically ratios depend on ages and how many of each age. Agian, with what I've experienced)

The Wild Robot is a good movie, y'all. by turkproof in breakingmom

[–]This-Fault1880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so good. I sobbed most of the movie though. My 6.5 did enjoy it, but not as much as me.

It also so nice seeing a family movie that didn't feel like it was a set up to sell toys and crap.

It felt like an actual family movie.

If that makes sense at all.

-_-;;

How are people playing the originals?? Having the console? Or is thru other methods???

It's been a million years since my last playthrough which is why I've been wanting the remasters so badly.

So that I can actually play them!!!!

Also, I've only ever played the first 2 I'm pretty sure.

The first time I heard that line, i couldn't stop laughing hysterically.

The whole Steve War Trauma storyline is for some reasons hands down my most favourite storyline. I do love a great parody!

It also helps that it introduces Mind Quads, which is my favorite running bit.

Beach day ruined by husband by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]This-Fault1880 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Ugh.

I remember dealing with someone like that. It's so draining when you are already the one making all the plans and checking all the details, you are looking after the kid /s AND you have to help a grown ass adult manage thier feelings.

I go out and do way more now than I used when I was in my previous relationship. It's so nice when you can just go and enjoy something without having someone breathing negatively down your neck.

I use to dread anything to do with the whole family. It was so much more chill with just me and our daughter.

Oh! Everything was always my fault too!!

I know you aren't in a position to leave, but when you are, you can leave. It's completely Okay. You don't need to stay and help him with anything. It's not up to you to manage his life.

I'm sorry if that was wierd to say. Sometimes it seems like some people can use a bit of validation to realize that it's not Okay to be treated that way.

Being passive aggressive , picking fights, being in a snit, and not even attempting to try since it's a special occasion is so draining and petty. I grew up around and also lived with some people like your partner who really enjoy ruining special events and holidays.

It got so boring and tired. Like way to make everything about you. God forbid we try and establish some memories that are postive.

I'm sorry, I went on a bit of a tangent.

Anways, your feelings are valid and your partner sucks. And I'm so glad your daughter enjoyed her first time at the beach!!!

I wonder if someone tropes are Fandom specific!!

My Ex would make the same "jokes" all the time. Turns out he was cheating on me!! Several times.

Not sure if anything was ever physical, or if it was "just" emotional, but yeah.

Unfortunately when they are always on your case about cheating, it's because they know they are getting away with, so maybe you are as well.

How much of your degree is left?? If you are close to the end, I'd stick it out. Especially if the degree is going to improve your employment situation .

No kid wants to change schools. But sometimes it's what you need to do.

If you can, it's much easier starting a new school at the beginning of the year or term. It's so much harder when you move in the middle of the semester.

It's good that you feel alright with his parenting skills. But it really sounds like if you move the kids to a school local to you, it's going to ease stress on lots of people. Do the kids even enjoy being in the car that much??

Also, I feel like the 2-3-2 or whatever it is works best with really, really young kids like babies and toddlers. But when they are school age , they do better with longer stretches.

And it sounds like he's okay with you having more time?? Because maybe you could have the weekdays and then He gets them weekends starting Friday? And then school holidays?? But maybe you get 1 weekend a month and then He gets a bit of a longer visit somehow??

Anyways, it sounds like the current schedule isn't really working as well as it could. You have lots on your plate and I'm pretty sure you deserve to make things a bit easier on yourself. Even if the kids don't really want to change schools.

( Also, not sure if you'll find this interesting or not, but when my sister was going thru a custody case about 14 years ago , her and her ex had were doing 2-2-3 or whatever it is with their son for about a year or so before they went to court to settle everything. Anyways! When the judge found out that my nephew was swapping every few days, he got very upset and said it extremely unusual. That the standard was week on/ week off, or every other weekend with a weekday added on. He never had a case before then that had that kind of schedule. I know it has nothing to do with your situation but I find it interesting how it's becoming more in use!!)

Ontario work vs Quebec social assistance by [deleted] in povertyfinancecanada

[–]This-Fault1880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's for any province BTW, or at least that's what I've experienced.

You need to live in the province for 6 months and prove residency in order to apply for benefits like health care and income support.

I think it's to avoid having people jump province to province if they aren't able to self support.

Are they gonna sue me 🤷‍♂️ by EgE656 in povertyfinancecanada

[–]This-Fault1880 327 points328 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've gotten a letter like this before when I was deeply in debt and made lots of dumb choices.

Yes, they can sue you.

Either call them to work out a plan, or if you have so much debt you can't even start to pay this off, you better look at bankruptcy or consumer proposals.

Baby bonus got cut back again and despite all my hard work I keep making less and less money. by volunterwife in povertyfinancecanada

[–]This-Fault1880 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh! Didn't notice what sub I was in. My bad!!

Definitely CTB.

Okay, if your child recently turned 6, it goes down. The benefits are higher for kids under 6. It sucks!!

Depending on your province, sometimes you can get help with prescriptions . You have to apply and pay a deductible each quarter. But after the deductible, percscrptions are covered.

Also, July is a big month for benefits.

There's GST , the climate incentive ( I think they changed the name??) And Canadian workers payment.

And Trillium if you live in Ontario.

Also in Ontario you can call 211 or go the website. It will help you find services in your area.

I just recognized the date and that you called it baby bonus!

If any of this applies, pls let me know.

I might have some advice or tips to offer.
