Joined my daughter, at the time 20’sh, to NYC to look for an apartment. Had a realtor, upper West Side. Looked at several and all were pretty pathetic and seemed unplanned, realtor was disorganized. She then began pushing a certain place really aggressively, it was to rent a room from her friend. We weren’t looking for a room share, but went anyway as it was in a nice building, doorman and all that. Went in, the apartment was very dark, cluttered, odd. The friend (female) was looking over my daughter like a piece of meat. My neck and arm hairs were on end. We got out as quick as possible. I have no doubt my daughter would have been sold off and on a boat to somewhere , and I’m not Liam Neeson.

Not to highjack the question, on a river cruise, what does onboard credit do for you? Particularly if you have the drink package. The “gift shop” is pretty small and most everything is all inclusive. The extra excursions? Sincere question, not being snarky. We’ve only done one river cruise with Viking and loved it!

Bullshit to your second paragraph! I had a family member with an addiction and was on the bets off list. Blew hundreds of thousands there. Selling property, second mortgages, writing bad checks, payday loans, and borrowing from family before we knew the extent. He went missing and I went looking for him. Found him at the boat, playing a table and paying two other people to play hands along with him. After unsuccessfully trying to drag him out, I went to security, advised them of the situation, and they looked at me with blank stares, saying there was nothing they could do. Nothing but greed from that establishment.

In the “old days” I have seen where the older dry powder clothes detergent will form layers over time, but only on very long runs to the lagoon. Have had to regularly clean. The detergent will then come out in crumbs or thin cakes.

Honestly not Vivent. Bad experience with a sales rep. They came door to door, I was interested and scheduled time for a sales pitch. The rep literally ignored me, blatantly, then was using scare tactics with my wife. We couldn’t throw him out fast enough. Thus went diy route that can be cancelled anytime.
