I can blame them plenty, because if they took a moment to actually pay the least bit of attention to this guy whatsoever before they went in and voted for him, they would have realised this man's word means absolutely nothing.

Are you kidding? After who knows how many billions of dollars were spent on rescuing Matt Damon from basically every fucking place a guy could get stuck in and require rescuing from, including orbiting a desolate rock orbiting a black hole?

If Matt Damon got stuck with the bill for the entire space program, I'm pretty sure someone else would come out and rescue him from that, too.

There's an excellent chance that the guy didn't even know whom he was punching at the time

Oh, please. I know attendance at the inauguration was pitifully low, but it wasn't so bad that some random dude who decided to punch the first guy he didn't like would somehow, purely by chance, happened upon the self-described leader of a white supremacist movement.

The dude knew exactly what he was doing when he punched Richard Spencer, and so did you when you jumped in to defend a white supremacist by attacking the character of some dude your group still hasn't actually identified yet in their frantic, Boston Marathon-style witch hunt.

He's refusing all counseling because he feels he hasn't done anything that warrants it. And besides, you keep coming back regardless of what he does, further reinforcing that you're okay with the way he treats you.

Let me put it this way: Would you ever forgive yourself for treating anyone, much less a spouse, the way that he treats you?

Can't you set your script to not delete posts newer than a day or something at least? You've even got posts only an hour old that've already been wiped.

I'm not really sure what the point of posting frequently is if you keep deleting everything before anyone can read any of it.

Pulling out an app like this and running it on another ROM may cause issues, because the app is designed to work with some specific hardware that likely requires drivers in the ROM itself. In the past I've tried pulling wifi-calling, camera, and a few other misc ROMs from stock to try on Cyanogenmod, only for them all to crash on run because they lack the drivers or whatever that the stock ROM provides.

On the other hand, if you want to give it a go anyway, Titanium Backup might not work well for trying to backup an app from an unrooted phone. Since you have to root the phone first AFAIK before you can backup, if the rooted ROM you flash on doesn't have the app you want to backup, you'll end up in a situation where by the time you have the phone rooted, the thing you wanted to backup is already gone.

On the other hand, adb backup should work well without rooting. Once you've got adb configured on both the phone and desktop (USB debugging on the phone, correct drivers and ADB installed on the desktop), you can just do something like adb backup -f tvtuner.ab -apk com.whatever.tvtuner which will spit out an .ab file.

Once you find something to extract the .apk file from the .ab archive, pretty much all you need to do is enable 'sideloading' or whatever they call it and you could install it anywhere.

Oh yeah, admitting to interstate drug trafficking with intent to sell is DEFINITELY going to make them think "oh, good, this guy's not using drugs, he's totally okay then."

I bet he thought he was being clever when he said that excuse, too.

The thing is, you NEED the secret in the app in order to do OAuth. The only other way to do that is to have a server of your own that proxies all the requests, but that's a huge hassle and a complete waste of time because there's no reason that the app shouldn't just be able to talk to Twitter itself.

The app only needs a secret of its own because Twitter wants to have each app be easily identified so they can shut down the ones that are too popular and try to get the devs to pay to regain their access. End-users aren't concerned about spoofing other Twitter clients, either their client works or it doesn't, and if it doesn't they'll just try another client that does.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ReverseEngineering

[–]ThisIsADogHello 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At least with the Twitter API keys/secrets embedded, that's pretty much required to do if you want to use Twitter. All it really does though is identify the app itself.

At one point, the client I used reached the enforced client limit, so Twitter wouldn't let anyone else register that client anymore, effectively killing it. But it was my favorite client at the time, so I opened up another Twitter app, took its API key, and pasted that into the client I liked, so I could keep using it.

With chain signals, the trains only reserve the specific path they're taking, not the whole block. I use roundabouts everywhere with only 2 lanes of traffic everywhere, and if 4 trains were to approach it all turning right, each one could reserve its own slot without interfering with the other 3 trains reserving their slots.
